naw I was thinking getting injured and then getting the news that his offer was non comittable motivated him to push harder and get better. People always ask, "why did so and so local college not offer him". My thought is that they are looking at other needs or they were eyeing others simply put. We didn't offer Jermaine Roberts, Cameron Sims, Darrel Williams or Sony Palelei either so is something wrong with them?
Some guys may get offers if thing don't pan out but this guy had a shite ton of offers (including Bama, Wisconsin, Florida, Oklahoma, OK st, Stanford, and FSU). Texas was busy getting the number one rb recuit in Texas again for 2 of the past three years.

Why weren't Texas and A&M interested?
Taylor is a good back. I can't speak for the longhorns but our staff thought James White was the best back in the state and we were only going to take one back since we will have two five star sophomores this year.
By the way, James White is very much a big back and similar running style to Taylor. We are always going to have a couple of big backs in our offense (C Mike last year and Tra Carson, an Oregon transfer from Texarkana this year).
My view is that Adam Taylor will do very well at nebraska but you won't miss him at all.

Appreciate the feedback, I feel exactly the same way about Adam Taylor. We had a different agenda and he kinda put us in a bad situation with his announcement. Seems like a great kid that got handed a huge let down, hopefully it will be the best thing for him in the end.
Id like to keep up with u and the Aggies this yr, u sound like a diehard. BTW Im a huge JFF fan. Hes unbelievable.
Stay in touch.

Hill and Blue wont be back and Hilliard is not TJ Yeldon.
Its very simple logic, thats why Miles didnt recruit a big time RB last yr.
Its the same logic that keeps 5 star QB's from going to the same school.
If u are Fournette and its close between 2 schools, maybe being the lead back in your home state from day 1 versus a time share with Yeldon makes the difference.
Its the right play for LSU and it will probably work out for the Tigers.
Its not a scared thing its an intelligent thing.
Why go against another player that was as highly recruited as you were?
1. U get beat out-now what?
2. Time Share- No school records or Heisman for u.
3. You win the job and all is well
Miles has put LF in a position that will be very difficult for him to say no to LSU. Miles knows he's a special player and he really wants to win this battle with Alabama. He has done everything he can to convince this young man that LSU wants him more and its the best place for him.
