Why? What has he done in college to warrant being paid?

Lane train. Ole Miss is gonna have a ridiculous roster next year.

Everything about this kid just screams problem. He was supposed to sign here, then shifts to Bama in the 11th hour due to money.
At what point do we, as fans, begin to accept that this is no longer school for these guys but their professional careers. The NFL is not going to happen for 80% of these guys, I’m not going to blame them for getting the most money they can while they are still able to.
It sucks as a fan, but the game as changed. Am I wrong?

a ridiculous roster doesn't always equal on field success. look no further than aggy. now, lane is more current in his offensive scheming\strategy than jimbo appeared to be......but, can the trolling lane corral all these big money egos. i can almost envision lane unravelling in excitement as he looks at all of his new Christmas presents. TBD.

Kelly told him we weren’t interested. I guess this was stemming from last year

LSU is the one who cancelled him coming in. That tells you the conversation on his end was all money. I respect the coaches telling him to kick rocks.

You can bring in as many good coaches as you want, but at some point you must have talent. I guess we're just playing the long game, as in '25 or '26.

Appears Texas A&M is the leader. Is on a visit currently I believe. A&M has to stock up and guess who else Ricks is potentially visiting? Ole Miss & Oregon… 2 other big NIL spenders this offseason. It was always going to be about money. Too big of a risk for an unproven guy imo. What makes him better than the freshmen we have coming in?
