yap, he's not that good anyway.
So you think he hits?
He might be the biggest boom or bust guy in the 2025 class for receivers.
Didn't blow me away. I get that he has the size/speed ratio but I'll take a smaller/slower guy that is a better "receiver"
Hankton has been disappointing this cycle so far. Things cab change.

I think big WR’s with his traits tend to do well in college chalky. He may not be a star but his floor is high

Also looks like we have a Kentucky commit 4 star athlete that currently plays WR coming to the game this weekend. Meadows replacement maybe?

If he's in a run heavy offense and is highly regarded because of measurables, why would LSU.back off because of lackluster numbers? Did he shrink?
Nah, I think it's more a situation where the nature of his offense makes his prior years' lack of production excusable to an extent, so long as he was able to have a breakout senior season. Basically, I think the thought process was "well, he's a freak athlete and the offense he's played in isn't going to support a bunch of receivers with big numbers, so as long as he shows out this year we probably shouldn't hold the other years against him". But it gets hard to rank a guy highly if he NEVER produces in HS.

I'm with you that guys with Meadows's size/explosiveness/movement skills are typically guys you want to bet on, but I'm not sure you can say "his floor is high" when you're talking about a guy who has never exceeded 19 catches or 455 yards in a single HS season

I don’t really care about high school stats for a WR especially without knowing what type of offense he is in. High school Qb is just so bad, generally.

Meadows is at Bishop Gorman, I can guarantee you they are not lacking a decent QB
They threw for 2200 yards this season, his biggest issue is they blow everybody out so I doubt he even plays much in the 2nd half of games.
Still the lack of production is concerning. People made similar excuses for Malachi Dupre for example.

Ya, I know who he plays for but if I don’t watch them personally I’m not going to assume his lack of production is due to him not being good enough. It is usually almost always the opposite especially with WRs.
Malachi Dupre was a good player too, despite playing with asscheek QBs.

He was never the 5-star he was billed up to be. Certainly not a bust, but the lack of production in high school certainly didnt help him in college probably despite the measureables looking great. He really struggled with his hands here.
Yes there's guys that go both ways who come from unproductive high school careers into college. Some go on to be big time in college, and others well, never turn into much.
I think there's legit concern though with Meadows, doesnt mean he cant or wont be good in college. But when a guy doesnt even stand out that much in his own high school it's tough to really get a good gauge on them. Again I think some of that is Gorman blows every team out so he probably doesnt play much in the 2nd half of many games, but he has less than 2 catches a game this season which means he still isnt getting the ball much in the 1st half either. Gorman threw for 2200 yards this year which is 220 yards a game, so certainly yards for him to pick up there. Their QB is a junior who has D1 offers already.

Not too concerned at WR. With Nuss likely coming back. Portal WRs are going to be lining up to come play with him.

This is 100% connected to Underwood. ND was always a backup plan for Meadows and this visit came out of the blue the last week+. But the general feeling is that he’ll end up wherever Underwood does.
get ready…
