Imagine a secondary with Harris, Ricks, and Toviano. It would make the return of DBU.

some people think Toviano is a better safety than a corner

I’m not a huge fan of the transfer portal…but if I was going to take 1 player from the portal for LSU …this would be my pick

I totally agree with you… but the thing is … we need guys to get here in the spring…if they’re trying to start

If Harris wants to he at LSU and makes a commitment to the program and a structured existence you take that all day over continuing to recruit a HS kid who is under the spell of being the prettiest girl at the dance.

And you know Harris can't transfer again without sitting out.

Jordy said him and Perkins are close friends. Perk will take him under his wing and keep him on the straight and narrow.

Coach O is the perfect example of winning doesn’t equal alignment in the long run. 2019 was still worth it though!

Perkins, Harris, Evan Stewart and the d end that went to Ohio state made a few secret visits to lsu together. Then coach o got fired and only perking came.

Just a few days ago, everyone was saying he was gonna be shopping his services. So he's staying now?

Great point. Honey Badger would be a great mentor for him. Who better?

Brian Kelly is the best thing that could happen to Denver Harris

Wasn’t part of his issues getting other teammates involved in his troubles too?

Personally I just don’t think he is the character fit we are going for. I think we would be better off with who we have on the roster plus these freshmen we have/want to get.

Everyone is so quick to judge for doing a couple stupid things. Acting like y’all didn’t do anything stupid when you were young.

You have no clue what you're talking about.

1) You don't even know what kind of character Denver Harris is and judging him completely off 4 months in college station isn't a fair take. And you're only judging him off the times he was in the news for bad things, and you don't know any of the good things he's done because that would never make the news.

2) You believe LSU doesn't already have guys like Denver Harris on the roster, but you'd be sorely mistaken. His best friend is Harold Perkins, do you think him and Denver are that much different? They're not bad kids, they're top athletes at a sport with a lot of money moving around. It's not crazy to think guys in their position might cut loose a few times, young people tend to be short on wisdom for obvious reasons. The microscope they're under is so much stronger than your average 18/19-year-old and they have a lot more pressure for their age.

3) No school that excels at the highest level doesn't have a healthy number of kids with some issues. Bama, Ohio St., Georgia, Clemson, etc. They all have players on their teams with uber talent with the ability to go off the wall once the structures around them crumble.

If you approach things the way you imply, then Harold Perkins never steps foot on campus. A lot of LSU greats over the years not only never step foot on campus, but LSU isn't anywhere near where they are now in terms of program success/notoriety.

Players like Denver Harris are inevitable, and you know what, that's okay, because people deserve a second chance. NO one is suggesting Kelly should overlook what Harris has done because that would be stupid, but unless you believe Harris is deliberately trying to sabotage his life then maybe his situation can be easily fixed with a change of scenery and proper boundaries/structure around him.
