You need to do something else with your time. We aren’t trying to read books

Could be why he chose A&M, Jimbo certainly isn’t a leader among men and he lacks the proper disciplinary skills it takes to lead these kids. Not to mention the bust of a season, some of these kids did not buy into it. Harris can make a realization that he needs to get aligned with the right guide and team, make moves in the classroom and that’s when he will blossom on the field. LSU is likely that school. Kelly is interested, therefore I’ll let him navigate his voyage with Harris. That’s all that needs to be said.

I think getting some of these guys "on the rebound" so to speak is better than getting them the first time out of high school.

Perhaps he's learned from his mistakes. Perhaps he's matured. Hopefully having Tack Minor as his step-father and former LSU basketball player will help us out. It was my understanding that Tack wanted him at LSU.

Assuming LSU wants him, it's kind of a no lose situation. If he breaks the rules, he's off the team. Pretty simple.

And at some point, he would be jeopardizing his future NFL prospects. I would rather him be at LSU when it "clicks" than somewhere else.

Exactly, not to say LSU will repair all talented knuckleheads but it’s a pitch that Kelly can use when he sees fit. These kids are more seasoned in a sense and have seen the glitz and glamour as well as the BS of the recruiting process, especially Harris with A&M. These high end transfers have time in, adjust more to the speed and flow of the game, and what not.

Apparently he was all LSU as well, but as Crown mentioned, the staff turnover and A&M money forced his hand. Sure he realizes the opportunity at hand, this is it. Us fans all the way to NFL executives realize how poor Jimbo is as a developer, motivator, and disciplinarian. Brian Kelly, is the opposite, he shines as his potential indicates and he will be a day 1 NFL draft pick. He can have healthy competition as well with likely commits in Ricks, Toviano, Austin (assuming he doesn’t flip to Oregon), and others. It’ll be good for him and LSU.

quote:

That just means you still need corners and would have one less roster spot
If any kid does that then your in the same position but Harris has legit all American upside
