now the tweets are saying Ole Miss is involved.

Decommitting implies that you are not concerned with losing your spot. I want the id in this class, but it is too late in the game for someone to be pulling this shite, especially with us missing out on Willis, and potentially Clark.

UCLA and Ole Miss
I have followed recruiting heavily since the late 90s and started getting involved when I was a kid in school back in the mid 90s.
This is, without a doubt, the most bizarre, weird, unexpected, dramatic, and unpredictable recruiting class I have ever witnessed.

The MS schools must be giving out free candy the past couple years. Doesn't make any sense why such high caliber kids would want to go there, especially ones from out of state.

I know it's been said a million times but something is very fishy with Ole Miss. In the last 2 years it seems like they've flipped more kids late in the process than any other school. I generally don't assume a school is cheating just because they're recruiting well, but they're flipping too many kids away from bigger, more established programs......Seems very odd.

And this kind of shite is why I never followed this stuff prior to this year. 17 year olds living up their 15 mins of fame.

This appears to be the trend.

EVERYONE CALM DOWN!
Do you really blame Godchaux for taking a trip to CA just to visit?
He'll be a Tiger. If not, it seriously makes him look like shite and we have some serious issues keeping guys instate that will need to be evaluated by the staff. This will happen regardless after the WM and Karr issues.

You had unfortunate timing picking this year to begin following recruiting. It used to be fun. I've never seen what is happening this year happen to this extreme ever before.

I mean you just said what everyone is thinking. I say the way to fix it is to go after top flight guys in the entire region, press for committments, and make it a privilege for LA kids to come to LSU. As of right now, we baby the shite out of them, give them priority, and they are taking us for granted and it is burning us. I don't think it helps that we have this "fence is down" attitude as a fanbase.
If at the end of the day, we have to reach out of state to fill up a class, we might as well do it up front and get the guys we want.

did he decommit?
I'll refrain from judgement until this has been established.

Yep.
And even if he did so, he could still end up at LSU. Remember that Hootie devommitted from Alabama for a week or so.

yeah I think he will end up at LSU in the end
but if he is going to UCLA with Dupre and Young, I guess that means they are in his ear about the other schools..?

Amen. I hope Speaks and Valentine committ and the staff then calls and says "thanks but no thanks
Only problem is both of those kids would have already decommitted from a school; can they be trusted to stick with us until NSD?
I swear, the NCAA needs to charge these kids like $50 to commit to a school. Or if they decommit, take away their cell phone for 2 weeks.
