I watched the guy play last every game last year, he would be a great fit for LSU and can contribute to the defense.

I like that he’s looking to improve his draft prospects. That means he’ll come in to work, and not just go through the motions like a guy just looking to wrap up his football career. He has money on the line. And, being from LA, he’ll want to win for the home team.

Obviously the competition isn't top notch and its a highlight reel but he blanketed his WR well and seems to have good instincts when the ball arrives.

Hopefully he comes in and pushes Ricks for playing time.

Seems like a good depth guy. We need to add another DB for sure. This season will be strange injury wise with COVID so you gotta be deep and after losing KV we definitely need another corner we know can contribute

Feel comfortable with Ricks and Sting on the outside with Flott in the slot. Think this guy could push Ricks for playing time on the outside

Man, with this stable of talented young DBs, now with a vet with 4 years experience (regardless of which college he went to) this defense is gonna be scary with Pelini bringin the heat early and often. I am pumped if he is truly IN

I can't help but think the youngsters can learn from a guy with this much experience, too. I know the experience is at a lower level, but he's still had plenty of post-high school experience that Ricks, Raydar, Ward, and McGlothern don't have at all.

And, competition is a really good thing. If Ricks and Flott thought they had things locked up, well, they better kick it into another gear now. Whoever wins the snaps will have earned them.

Can’t wait to see how this works out. The last corner transfer (T Alexander) didn’t work out, but he wasn’t 6’3 playing sticky coverage like this.

The one question is competition. Darren Evans has said in the past that Jazz Ferguson is the best receiver he’s ever played against. Granted, he held Jazz to 2 catches 54 yards 2 year ago, but Jazz Ferguson wasn’t even better than Stephon Sullivan when he was at LSU. But I love the depth move. We couldn’t withstand any potential injuries at first, but now the corner position will be deep *if* he commits.

Nice pick up. As someone else said, Wade was a pipe dream. I think Evans is going to come in with something to prove trying to get drafted. Unlike Alexander from a couple years ago, this is clearly a guy working towards future in football. Also like that he’s a Louisiana guy. Should fit right in with the team.

Physically,I like his length, but his film raised some concerns. In several of those highlights, he was chasing the wide receiver from behind which is concerning. You let a guy get past you in the SEC and he's gone. Maybe with some good coaching he can develop into an SEC DB, but he's not there now. Good film, but a lot of holes that need to be worked on.

Can Farrell and Vincent return to the team at any point? I feel like they’ll get second thoughts with the Big 10 trying to rally.

Not sure, but a good question. We need all the experience back that we can get because there are a lot of talented players filling in, but also very green. Can't teach experience!

Why would we take a Nicholls state DB? We’re LSU for crying out loud. Surely this is a troll thread.

I am bias being a Nicholls Alum. I agree he will benefit from the better coaching (pick count should go up), but Nicholls State is a FCS playoff team. He has experience of playing the best on that level and plenty of physical skills. Often FCS players are not fully developed, cant make the camp circuit or dont have grades, that is how they end up there. The Saints roster over the years has proven you got ballers on every level. Best of luck to Darren Evans I know he will excell!

Why would we recruit a DB from Dunham too? Enough of this!

Gonna lead with OBVIOUSLY NOT the same situation, but this is similar to a Jabril Cox type thing.. an outstanding player in the FCS ready to prove their worrh in an SEC environment, and i think he will show out
