Great teams don't always have great college prospects.
There's a thought (to the OP).
^Spot on, though.

MT1 - if you read his columns he asks his readers to please submit names of individuals that they feel deserve recognition. If you feel someone is over looked send him the name and a little about it Scott Long will look at him. He is only as good as the information he gets and he relies on help because there is no way one man can cover the entire state of Louisiana in high school football. Some kids will get over looked but he does a great job with what he has. Oh and let me help you with this part, don't complain if you don't donate to his website because it is free to read and that is pretty rare when it comes to recruiting now a days.

Since about 80% of the state's population lives south of Alexandria, I think it's about right.

West Monroe and Evangel...and who else is there year after year. Maybe a team thrown in once and awhile but year after year?
Not to get too much into this thread but Neville and OCS have had pretty good runs lately.

Reuben Randle, Mo Claiborne, Barkevious Mingo, Jarrett Fobbs (who knows when we'll finally see this guy we stole from A&M), were all quality North LA prospects heavily pursued by LSU.
The Booty boys were from Shreveport, as was Jacob Hester, and Andrew Whitworth of West Monroe might have been the best offensive lineman I've seen play for LSU in years.
DD may not have so much quantity from North LA, but he does have some real quality (Diarse), and I've seen him mention the quality that consistently comes from North LA regularly.
I'm from a North LA town (Shreveport), myself, and while I was raised by an LSU grad and followed his example, the athletic talent I knew in high school was just as eager to entertain out-of-state offers as LSU. Grambling and Tech got plenty of them, too.

Dude please.....Like the previous poster said..Population north of I-10 is sparse, and besides a select few good teams its a hit and miss situation up there.

Actually OCS, Neville and Haynesville are there on a fairly regular basis

Neville definitely! Forgot about them. Who is OCS? Is that Oachita Christian?

The states best player (t white) is from NLA. Diarse is a great player and there are 3 players from Monroe alone that will be top 100 national players in 2014. Possibly 2 5*s
