I think he's Ole Miss. The only reason I would think he's coming to lsu is bc ESPN has been pimping his commitment on national television. There has to be some manufactured drama for ratings.

He will miss most of the Super Bowl because of this trip! He has to be genuinely interested!

I don't want to take anything away from CLM and the coaching staff because I think they have done a hell of a lot to recruit this kid. But actually there could be a bit of truth in what you are saying.

In the beginning of the week right after RN's Ole Piss visit Kip Adams of ESPN.com reported that he spoke directly with RN and that RN said he was going to take his LSU visit. Then all the reports came out from his father stating he was done with recruiting visits and was canceling the visit to LSU. Well just maybe ESPN and Kipp Adams didn't want to look like they were the last to know especially since RN is making his choice live on "ESPN." So maybe they had some influence and maybe it is just all conjecture, either way at least we did get the visit and have a chance to sign him and that is better than 125 other FBS schools.

not sure if this is the official RN thread...

logical explanation to have some hope. some hope.

he's always wanted lsu, and said so by declaring he was going to go to a place where he can win NCs. (hypo presumes OM is not a place where you can reasonably expect to win NCs in the next 3 years...maybe in 5 or so if coach pans out).

why did he show OM so much attention ... bordeline comitting to OM? to help out his bro's school. think of all the attention and publicity OM has gained by the RN show? its helped OM in recruiting and added to the momentum coming out of last season. now he's helped out his bro's school and made mom happy by giving it due consideration, he can now go with his heart.

and that is why there some hope he may pull the trigger on lsu.

I think he is going to OM, because everybody else on here thinks he is. Does that mean he is going to OM??? NO, and what everyone on here thinks doesn't really matter. He will go somewhere and be good.........

Not saying there is not hope, he made it this weekend didn't he? What's that old saying "if you have a chip, you have a chance."

But the rest of what you are saying, not buying it doesn't make sense. So he is clowning all the Ole Piss coaches and all the people he was trying to recruit for Ole Piss. Remember he was actively recruiting other players at the Under Armor game including some LSU commitments. I have hope, but that is all it is and it is fleeting at best.

If I were a betting man, I would bet on Ole Piss sorry to say HOPE I am wrong but that is just what I get when I put all the pieces together.

My heart says lsu, but my head says ole miss. The chance to play with his brother will win out. Either way it's another damn strong class for my tigers.

Honestly I can't help but think of Herron and Nkemdiche as the DEs for LSU. Those two would be plain freakin nasty with the DTs and LBs we have.

Don't know if we will get him. I am cautiously optimistic, but damn.....if we did, there's potential for historically good DL with all the recruit and returning talent.

Probably Ole Miss but like I said back months ago.... he is ole miss but if we can get him on campus then we have a chance to change his mind.

What I wish would happen would all the aholes saying we have no chance would shut the hell up and stop telling me we have zero chance when they are WRONG. We might not get RN but to say we have no chance is wrong!!! So stop telling everyone to have no hope. I bet yall are the same group that turned of the basketball game yesterday when LSU was down 6 points with time running out. Probably missed the bluegrass miracle too because you turned of the TV then as well.

This is the universal, undeniable truth in recruiting. If he's on campus, there's always a chance.

Still, I won't get too worried unless he's spotted at a tattoo parlor getting his new OM tat replaced with one of a tiger.

p.s., I'm hoping OM can return to a level of competition worthy of the great rivalry we used to have with y'all. Nothing is as good as unbridled hatred between neighbors.

I have no idea what our chances are. But if he signs with us he better work his arse off if he wants to see the field. Men like Michael Patterson, Frank Herron, and Lewis Neil will not take a seat on the bench willingly.

If we believe people are just getting lucky and don't realize that everyone is working harder to achieve the success that LSU and Bama have had over the past 5 years, then we are f*cking stupid. We are going to have to work harder also, and from the looks of our recruiting class this year WE HAVE.

Dudebro. This is exactly right! Too many people believe life is medieval Europe, and we're all (people and institutions) born into stations we'll always be in. bullshite! It's a jungle! The summits will belong to those who strive.

One prevailing opinion is that his mom is the decision maker here and she did not make this or any other trips to LSU…..
