No, a win would not flood us with recruits and a loss would not cost us recruits. Maybe, MAYBE + or - one.

No. Showcasing a great defense and an open exciting offense is key...I dont think a close win or loss would matter, as long as recruits can Invision themselves in the system and flourishing

Feel like a lot of recruits are on the fence think. Big win on that stage could go a long way

Where we end and beating Bama is what will get us back to the top. It has to be done this year.

A blowout win/loss could have a huge impact. If LSU, who ESPN pegged at 6 wins, comes out and drags Miami, it absolutely could make up guys minds. And vice versa.

Of course

But a strong showing in that game tells us that we had a solid off season and likely forebodes good things to come for the remainder of the season

Or it tells us Miami isn’t good.

This is the answer. All these kids want is to get a good education while improving their game. Of course they would like to win championships but not every team is going to win it all.

It's the coaches jobs to convince them to be a part of a class that can move us into a position to win the big games and of course convince them that LSU is a great place to get their education, and improve their own game. LSU has the proven track record for 3 out of 3, we simply haven't put it all together lately to get into position to win the big games.

It's these coaches jobs to convince them that they can change that and are on their way to doing so.

A possibility but an unlikely one. Their floor is probably in the top 25

I think our goals should be below that this year. "Getting to the top" really isn't on the table barring some major, major surprises.

Only in this sense: if the “fans” abandon the program, bad mouth the coach, and go into meltdown. Should that happen, it will hurt recruiting, damage team morale, and generally “break” the season.
In no sensible world could that happen, you say? Read the Rant. Idiots will be screaming for O’s job the second this team stumbles. You can dispise them but they exist.

If the game is a harbinger of the rest of the season, then yes. As an individual game, not really.

One game in the entire season virtually means nothing to kids while spent literally years being scouted and recruited by these staffs....Even if LSU gets truly blown out and loses by 60 in a shutout game....by the time the years over no one remembers. Especially 17- 18 year old kids who live mostly moment to moment and have the attention span of freaking ants
