He's my facebook bud. I'm not gonna link to his page, because I'd like to keep it that way. Here's his recent status, though:

After a week of moving furniture around and painting projects for my lovely bride. I need something to do on a daily basis. So I've decided to start one on one football private lessons until another NFL team calls. All ofensive positions welcome. All ages (K-12). Monday-Friday. Shreveport, LA area. If you would be interested in more information please e-mail my football camp account

C he actually mentioned today that he was going to be a part of something huge here in Shreveport training athletes on the Tim Fletcher Show this morning. He also mentioned that it would be former NFLers and big league players and coaches and it is something that is already being done in other parts of the country. Sounded exactly like Core 6.

Bump. I figured they would announce the baton rouge rep around this time, had a hunch it was someone on the 03 squad but I'm sure I'm wrong.

Did they ever say what's up? It's been a few weeks.

No clue. My guess would be a skill position player(s). I just can't see many high profile guys mentioned so far would do it though, but maybe since Justin Vincent's time with LSU is about up he may be a candidate. Maybe a skilled defensive back like Travis Daniels. If it was an oline maybe Stephen Peterman, since it doesn't look like he's playing anymore.

That said, I'm going to put my money on Marcus Randall. I know he was doing stuff at U-high a few years ago so it seems he likes coaching, obviously career is over, LSU guy, young but old enough for this kind of position, etc.

Jesus Christ why not nominate Brodie Croyle or Mark Ingram while you're at it.

Look. I'd like a "Miles" guy just as much as everyone else here. I just can't think of any that are
1. Not playing anymore
2. Are quality players
3. Old enough to coach
4. Have solid football values
5. Smart enough to coach

Right now, it just looks like Saban's old bunch. Chad Jones would have been amazing, but seeing as how he's now with the Red's organization thats just not gonna happen.

There should be tons of guys to consider from the decades before Saban as well as guys from Miles tenure.

Kevin Mawae, Alan Faneca, Booger McFarland, Eddie Kennison, Kevin Faulk, etc are names that immediately sprang to my mind as great representatives of the program who are invested in the state and not invested in promoting Alabama.

Maybe I'm not giving this Core 6 program enough credit, but aren't those guys just too big of a get for this?

Who knows who they pull in. Isnt Faulk coaching at carencro or something?

I just hope it's not someone who's looking to lead kids out of the area unless they don't have local offers.

It won't be one of those guys, but it's a former Tiger.

What is the cost per month going to be?

Fwiw, Marcus Randall is involved in the Southern La Football Association league.

Emailed, called, still no info.

I find it weird they are holding off the announcement. Why wait to generate good pub?

Bowtie, I assume you know who it's going to be.

Think they're pretty busy. They're rolling out Arizona right now, I think, according to their Twitter feed.
