Congrats to Ali Gaye...

There were some on here last year that didn't understand why I (and others) on this board were high on Gaye. The star gazers thought he was a waste of a scholarship.
Today he gets the start at DE in game 1. His athleticism and upside are hard to miss. JUCO kids can be a crap shoot at times, but Gaye is proving early on that he may have the intangibles to achieve success at this level.
Not sure how his reps will be split, but I can’t wait to see him out there today showing off his athleticism in a 6-6 260 frame.

Because the title says congrats to Ali Gaye. I clicked on it too to see what he was being congratulated for. And then as I start to read I see it’s an “I told you so” thread...which sucks. So why don’t you quit trying to police the board and kindly frick off.

He was born in Gambia, is a Muslim and his first language is Wolof ( mostly in Senegal). You can’t say Bill Busch and Coach O don’t shake every tree and talk to every mama and work every angle. I hope Ali balls out. He definitely looks the part.

True, but neither plays Gaye’s position, and only one is even a WDE.

For sure Solo Tiger. Its not like you waited until Game 4 to pronounce your " I told you so".
We need more good talent evaluators in here and guys willing to actually speak up early. If youre right on him, I will pay way more attention to your posts moving forward.

Yah maybe say that and maybe not but looks to be a long season for these LSU tigers. Not much leadership on this team.
