Yep, said he had to take care of his family and Texas gave him that opportunity.

Looks like McConaughey stepped up to the plate!$$$$$$$

We do not need him if he does not bleed purple and gold. Durham is a hell of a back.

Texas was always going to pony up the money it takes. Simmons is an absolute cannot lose for Texas.
LSU could offer Simmons a billion dollars and Texas would go 1.1
Hopefully he gets on campus in November but this is a really hard battle for lsu to win.

“We’re going to shock the world.” *chooses home state university that offered the most money*.
Shocked, I tell you.
Shocked, I tell you.

No. His original thread title HEAVILY implied Simmons committed to LSU.

Shocked the world! These kids are funny. Shock the world = do most predictable thing imaginable.

He’s getting too much print . Let’s talk about who’s coming here .

Until there’s a cap on NIL we’ll see much more of this. Teams that haven’t had success in a long time will try to buy it. It is what it is.

“Texas put me in the best position to take care of my family”.
Seems it was all about the money in the end. Still got a shot if Texas flops this year. Super excited about Durham though!

I mean it’s not over but I guess just hope Bama beats up on texas so Colin can get of idea of what life will be like in the SEC?

Dude trolled LSU all week and at the announcement with the hat...

LSU no longer holds the "we play in the SEC" card.

Blue chip recruits been getting paid for decades...its nothing new. You think Perkins came to LSU for free?

He stayed home like this board suggest all Louisiana kids to do when it comes to LSU.
His OV is still on the table. Maybe we can renegotiate and flip him by December.

Put 5 in last year, including the top running back in the draft. Next year Texas should have at least 3 first rounders.
