I think he can be good, I think reclassifying was a mistake, though.

Maybe not. Physically he already looks like a college player. He also seems incredibly mature for his age. I'm not sure I'd want my kid early enrolling at age 16, but maybe he's just that well grounded. An extra off-season of development under Sloan may be the right thing for him.

And it's not like we're counting on him to compete for a starting job next year.

not in high school lol

Most good teams in high school are good because the QB (or RB) is good. It's not always because they are legit college prospects (see Ju'Jan Johnson), but because they are the best player on the field.

That said, American Heritage is a really good team. And I also don't understand him re-classifying. He needs game reps. Those highlights remind me a lot of Rickie Collins coming in last year.

Lol
Collins was way more accurate with less games as the more talented team
When Hurley’s team plays against their classification they are one of the best teams
Woodlawn was never even close to that
Collins also rushed for 1000x more yds than Hurley

Shitting on Collins is stupid- he has more upside than Hurley

American Heritage is a top 10 team in the nation and this is not one of Trinity Christian High schools best teams at all. Colin needs more reps and remember he barely played last year due to injuries. Give this kid some time and more reps and he will be just fine remember we have Nuss for probably two more years. Get Hurley in at LSU and as he matures his game will only get better I mean we are talking about a 16 year old kid.

Huh? It’s not an insult to either but both are firmly developmental players at this point

Well yea. As a Sr, not a 16yr old

Hurley unofficially finished 5-of-18 for 64 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

In Arch Manning's game vs LCA in 2021 he was 7 of 16 for 44 yards 0 TDs 1 INT for a QB Rate of 25. Only played part of the game when the coaches pulled him to save his stat line.

High school QBs have bad games and it sounds like Manning had a better team around him than Hurley does.

“Myself”? Why has “me” fallen out of favor?

Isn’t that much better?

It also is correct. One should only use “myself” when one is the subject, as well as the object, of a sentence. “I hit myself”. “You hit me.”

All 2022 : “Arch manning is a 3 star!!!1”

2023: “arch manning stats sucked but that’s ok Colin Hurley still a 5 star!”

Show me where I ever said Arch was a 3-star. I did think he got a bump in his ranking due to his name but always maintained he was a very good QB.

Nor have I ever said Hurley is a 5-star. Only that I like the kid's attitude from what I have seen and think he may be a very good QB.

Do you ever post without gaslighting?

I see bad o-line play, well covered wideouts and dropped passes. It’s hard to look good with that combination.

He was accurate last week throwing some great passes hitting the WR's in stride. He will be OK
