Chester played great when Turner got hurt. We will need both Chester and Echols.

Do what now??? You realize that even if he hadn’t played in a game yet that he’s been playing with and against SEC talent since he’s been at LSU right? Right??

Coen Echols bringing nasty back to Baton Rouge!

It’s a game changer having a smart and physically dominant center

He is woefully underrated by services and also the teams that didn't recruit him. He is a low 4* on 247 composite and on first glance the offers back that up. LSU, AU, A&M, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Utah are the only programs of note offering him.
I have a completely different evaluation of Coen Echols. IMO, the 3 most underrated signees of LSU are Echols, Reliford, and Cobbins. As I've listed before, MY opinion is all of these are 3 of my 50 5*. And there is no doubt in my mind that he is the best OL prospect LSU signed...and I like Davis too. But Echols has quickness, agility, strength, and a flat out mean streak driving players 10 to 15 yards down the field. Davis doesn't drive his opponent that far out of the play and also did more trap/semi-blindside blocks which of course are easier to surprise your target.

Chester played a fair amount this year and looked damn good. He's going to be an upgrade from Turner.

Echols also reminds me of Trai Turner. A pure road grader with a nasty streak.

I will say that Weston does more holding also although I love his legal cut blocks. He even snuck in a horse collar on one of his holds.

A few weeks before signing day, this video. Katy always has a talented team. One of my good friends coaches in the Katy District.
Enjoy!
