Sopsher and Williams have no relation whatsoever. Williams has basically been uncommitted since he didn’t sign during the early period.

When a LA kid has a spot and goes to an inferior program for playing time, odds are he won't be missed. Outside of QB (where only one can play), there are ample opportunities to get on the field, even in a packed position group. Choosing to go to Miami if the reason is less competition is not a great look for Williams.

So quit the hyperventilating.

I think losing Williams would almost guarantee losing Ish since it opens up another spot for them.

It may have been a position issue, not a competition issue. If he wants to play CB and we projected him at S then that could have sealed the deal.

I still don't think we press for Ward. We have true CBs. Need a safety.

I guess it's a good fit for him. He gets to play on a below average team and obviously get starting time. Guess he doesn't care much about winning or anything.

This is why I am always hesitant on predictions.
Kid was basically locked in until Miami came calling with a guaranteed spot at corner.
You can't beat that when you want him in our already crowded secondary.

Believe it, baby!

Shea Dixon
Billy Embody
Steve Wiltfong
Hank South

All say he's going to Miami. These are highly reliable sources.

Now...could things change? Absolutely. But it's pretty obvious that Williams has made his decision and informed the staff.

I'd love to hear from Vol if we're working to get him back or not, though.

If you had taken a second or two to glance at the thread, you would realize that it is where "we" recognize LSU's depth chart compared to Miami's. And where "we" realize why he would go to Miami if he indeed does.

Good luck to him, would’ve been nice to have him but we have more immediate needs as of now

If LSU promised Williams a starting spot, he wouldn't be going to Miami.
if LSU has to start promising starting spots in our secondary for recruits to sign we're in trouble sir

We signed the number #2 player in the country that plays ahead of him and we are going to bench an SEC starter in order to play him as a freshman.

Williams doesn't want to sit behind him or compete with Raydar either. How is that on the coaches?

Idk where this staff promising him a starting spot crap came from... but If a kid needs a staff to “guarantee” him a spot bc he’s afraid to compete, then let him walk

I think he’s saying in order for him to start we’d have to bench Fulton
