Christian Westcott

Louisiana Gatorade Player of the year.

Should we interested in taking him as an athlete for football and as a baseball prospect?

Add some more to your thread title, otherwise this will get anchored.

Other information you can add to your post would include position, high school, class, and measurables. Include his baseball positions as well.

If you want genuine discussion on this, you can't rely on everyone else to do the homework. Bring the info and then people can decide if they want to look up more info on their own.

re: Christian Westcott
Defensive player of the year in his district as a Junior as a Defensive End. 72 tackles 8 sacks 12 hurries 7 blocked punts!

Was switched to dual threat QB his senior season ??

He reminds me of Burrow with his toughness and scrambling ability 6’-1” 210 lbs

Right
Who knows, maybe he develops into a good college QB or a Howie Long type of defensive end :)

Kid looks like a good athlete but can't figure out what he would project at. Probably FB or maybe LB at a smaller program.

At 6’1 210 with his speed bring him in as a PWO and put him in the safety depth chart.

Great athlete and tough as nails. The kid played with a broken collar bone the entire second half in the semi finals against Easton and put up like 300 yards and several touchdowns in the 4th. I have seen him play a lot throughout his career. I’m not sure if he’s LSU caliber but he definitely can play at a smaller school.

with his speed

Man I must have watched a different tape. He didn't look like he had SEC speed.

He reminds me of a smaller version of Robert Lane from Neville back in the early 2000s.

re: Christian Westcott
He looks awfully good to me! I don't know why he can't play at the SEC level! Burrow was also Ohio's Gatorade Player of the Year in his senior season and under-estimated at the state school! You can't ignore players like this. Obviously someone thinks he is the best player in Louisiana!

For some reason, I couldn't find him on Rivals though!

My son played in high school with him. Good athlete. Tough kid. Comes from a good family. My guess is he would project as a LB in college. I'm not sure what level.

Damn - talk about a blast from the past.

I haven't seen his name in quite some time. As I recall, he was one of the top QB recruits in the nation and verballed to LSU early. At the last minute he changed to Old Piss. There was A LOT of talk about the amount of money Old Piss paid to get him there.

Once he got to Old Piss he was given the QB position but failed miserably. Eventually, he was moved to TE and was never really heard from again.

Do I have that about right?

Watched Westcott goofing off at half during a soccer game 2 weeks ago. He threw several 50-55 yard bombs. He's a big strong kid for sure.

re: Christian Westcott
Wasn't about the money ole piss may have paid , Nick Satan lied to him bc they told the kid they weren't gonna recruit another QB just him and one more and then they took a commitment from one more , those two others were Jarmarcas Russel and Matt flyn , from LSU side he was a potential 1st- 3rd round baseball prospect and they didn't really have any assurances from him and his father that he would def make it to campus and although he was the higher rated QB that year it wasn't enuff of a difference to turn away Flynn and Russel on a maybe , so you tell me did you have it right ?I'd say kinda kinda not ,there was not really any talk about pay for play at ole Miss ,we all just said that he didn't have the moxie to compete . And as it was he didn't get the big baseball contract and he was a monumental bust at ole Miss and man they were so freakn jacked up that they stole Robert Lane from lsu . Someone should do some research and do a Robert Lane where is he now post , number #1 highschool QB / top baseball prospect to BUST at ole Miss ,projections are just that , projections . Josh booty and Eli manning were both rated number #1 depending on which publication you were looking at . One went on to be a hall of famer QB one ,one signs out of highschool to play baseball and doesn't make it past double a , comes back to LSu has a decent career and goes to the NFL and never lived up to the hype or potential , you just never know even about so called can't miss
Prospects
