18 year old that got berated by 30-50 year olds for choosing one school over another and he's the bad guy?

It's no wonder he early enrolled at bama and took shots at LSU.

I hate that we didnt get him but come on. Act like a man about it.

No. He's playing Saban's game. It all creates a bigger splash when he finally signs with Bama. He'll say he wanted to stay home and he loves LSU but Saban and Bama are just too great. "I'm nobody and I need the great Saban to get me to the next level". blah blah blah bs

I don't know why you're using this as an insult, pretty sure everyone does this these days

he did. only took him 4 years, a change in LSU's head coach, and a change in his high school. But eventually he did.

I'm personally torn between this being Bama games, which we have plenty of evidence of in the past, and Allen himself is torn. Based on some of what has been said, I guess mainly Shea recently, I'm inclined to disregard the bias I have and say this isn't games by Allen/Bama.

For the record, such games by Bama I've always considered to be driven by Burton Burns, not Saban personally. Notice it's usually with LA kids... hence the Burns connection. Plus he's got that streak in him.

As long as Craig and Orgeron keep the lines open to Gay, Phillips, Taylor, etc and make them understand that what Allen says or does, does not effect them one bit then stay on Allen. Just CYA just in case it's Bama Games; one of these days it will bite them. I'm hoping this is the one.

best LB coach in the Country=high draft pick

I mean, I like aranda as our DC, but we just promoted a GA to LBs coach. You have no idea if he is the best. Not to mention, are you really pointing to being a high draft pick as a LB at LSU over Bama? They've put 3 in the first round, a couple in the second round, and a couple others drafted as well as linebackers in recent years. LSU hasn't done that. Let's be real here.

be hated here forever

Only by insecure grown arse men who gauge their life's worth on the success of LSU football. The fact that you have 14 upvotes with zero downvotes on your post having this part in it is extraordinarily saddening.

quote:

possibly get lost in the depth chart
? So you are suggesting he should come here because you think he may not be very good?

quote:

average LB coach
Have you ignored what Bama linebackers have looked like over the past 8-9 years? You really think they are lacking in coaching over there?

quote:

maybe no nfl career
I don't even....is this really something you would use as a selling point? That Bama doesn't churn out NFL talent?

quote:

with doors to Louisiana locked forever

You guys put wayyyyy too much emphasis on the whole "be taken care of forever" bullshite with respect to playing for LSU and being hated if they don't pick LSU. The real world that these kids live in doesn't work that way. Possibly you think your employer would hold it against them if they chose someone other than LSU, but very, very few, if any, could give two shits less where they played football unless they are hiring them for an outside sales job.

Look, I want him to go to LSU as much as the next fan, but some of you are so fricking irrational about it that it's sickening.

Oh lord, if only that were what happened with young Mr. Moses. Ignorance is bliss.

Allen is trolling the frick out LSU I'm getting zero hopes up until he would happen to sign his LOI with us!

frick Moses, he is Tiger bait now so screw him and all of Alabama football and anyone tied to their program! They can keep calling us L6U, but they're now known to me as Alossbama!

saban instructs his 5 stars to do this every year. it causes some chaos in his enemies camp and leads to uncertain decision making.

It would be super cool if Coach O pulled a fast one and made Allen a double agent.... Saban thinks he is trolling us for him while solidly committed but O has him locked down, so the evil empire loses out at the last minute... probably not but would be entertaining to watch the bama boards afterwards...

This made me wonder if LSU ever did things like this under Miles. I don't think Miles was an angel when it comes to recruiting but he seemed to be real high on honor and integrity. I wonder if he ever got kids to troll other schools like this? He probably thought he was above such shady dealings. Coach O on the other hand, I don't think he has a problem with any shady stuff when it comes to recruiting. I like that.

It was obvious to most that he was referring to Coach Aranda and using hyperbole. And FTR, our D staff is better than Bama's. If Bama had our D they would be NC's. That's not hyperbole.

Look. I love what aranda has done. I think he is tops in the business. I love what he is able to bring to the team and what he give the players to get to the next level, but your post is exactly what I am talking about.

Ya'll are so blinded by your homerism that you think everything LSU is the best. Alabama gave up less yards per game, less points per game, and performed better against 4 of 6 common opponents. How you will get on here with a straight face and say that LSU had a better defense than Alabama is beyond me. Again, our defense was very, very good, and I am thrilled to have aranda. But come the frick on.

I didn't write in blind homerism. I made two simple assertions of which at least in part you agree:

quote:

I think he is tops in the business.

And I don't think Clemson would've had near the success against us as they did vs Bama. Bama made Watson look like Chad Kelly out there.

If Chris Allen wants to play for the best DC and staff in CFB home will be really nice.

Moses Tweet

He could be talking about anyone in the west really or Tenn. But LSU loved the Title loss more than most.

He's trolling LSU for Bama. They see LSU in good position to land Gay, Chaisson possibly and Phillips. Allen suddenly wants to get word out that he's "wavering"? Troll job, plain and simple, in hopes to get some of the guys currently considering us, to think Allen will take their spot.

Tiger Bait Allen. Give us Gay and Phillips, kids that actually seem to want to be here.

I hope this isn't the case, and that he's really seriously considering LSU. I almost wish that Coach O would give him a deadline to commit to LSU or else the offer is pulled.
