LSU wanted him bad out of high school.
A&M offered more than LSU was willing so he left.
Started I believe this year as true freshman.

He was a freshman AA by default because he started all 12 games which is more than 99.9% of all freshman OL. A&M's OL was awful this season in both pass protection and run blocking. Even their fans have said he was not ready for SEC play. Don't have their PFF grades on hand but spoiler alert, they weren't great.

I didn't specify as to the reason why, but I'm sure it was a combination of both factors. Just because someone was rated a 4* out of HS doesn't mean that the reason they did not perform was solely due to coaching. Alternatively, there are guys like W. Campbell and E. Jones that do live up to or exceed their ratings and it is typically due to both talent and coaching. I don't think Bisontis is a lost cause by any means but I'm not sure he would walk into our lineup and start right away just because he was tabbed as a freshman AA.

People expect 17-18 year old kids to all come in and dominate.
That’s the exception, definitely not common.
Campbell struggle with some rushers his true freshmen year. Missed a lot of blocks.
People cannot seem to understand that it takes some kids a couple of years in the weight room/ on the field to adjust to the rise in competition on a regular basis.

They had him at RT when the dude is a mauler meant to play guard.
