He played there at camp over the summer against some stud WRs and drew rave reviews. Morris Claiborne and Corey Webster made the transition look easy

I have no doubt he looked great but he will have a learning curve. That's not a knock.

Neither Webster nor Claiborne started at CB as freshmen.

I'm a big fan of Ju'Juan and think he will be great. I just think it's unfair to expect these kids to come in and be a game changer as a true freshman. That is all I am trying to put forth. If that does happen, be thankful for it.

Not one person on this site has said they’re doing a great job. Anybody with a brain can see that. Also, they were in a transition point with the roster. Last year they got lucky and hit on a few portal guys. This year they didn’t, obviously why you need to prioritize high school recruiting.

Steeples/Cooks have barely been here, now we know. Time to move on.

Also, I don’t think people realize how big of a loss Brooks was. Massive fricking loss to the secondary.

Anyone know if Bussey is still on flip watch, and is he expected to play CB?

Like Cushenberry did when we got him? Became one of the best centers to ever play for LSU.

Recruiting isn’t for some of y’all. You obviously don’t know what the frick you are talking about.

doesn’t seem like much of a solution either.

this is good recruiting but not elite.

combine that with subpar performance on the field.

what’s he bringing to the table?

Justin Jefferson was a two star, who cares about the one offs. It’s a law of averages, and there js a reason Bama and Georgia dominate most times. There is a reason Ohio state dominates. Consistent 4/5 stars. Stop making excuses for taking in three stars

Now get two above coverage corners from portal and we will be fine.

JK Johnson should be back.

Are we expecting any guys back from this year?

I don’t know the eligibility of the guys this year? If so that will help tremendously too.

Is there? You really call what Bama has been doing the last 4 years or so “dominating” and you want to complain about BKs results?

No sir, stars are absolutely NOT everything. Just ask A&M. Let’s also not pretend Georgia has just recently started getting high end recruits. They went 20+ years recruiting in the top 10 and did nothing with it. You all act like the only players we are getting is 3 stars. That’s just ridiculous. No, you aren’t likely to win a championship with nothing but 3 stars but filling out some spots with a 3 star doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world like most of you act here when we pick one up. Calm your fat tits down. We are taking about the same number of 3 stars per year that we have in the last 30 years.

Coaches need to get to the Duncanville vs Desoto game Friday night. Tons of DBs, DLs playing in that game.

That’s how we’re recruiting him (Bussey), whereas I think TAMU is recruiting him as receiver. 247 Scouting says:
quote:

Well-assembled, looks and plays larger than listed size. Build is similar to that of a running back or a nickel defender. Not overly long but possesses plus length.

2A smaller school competition. Will be a big jump to SEC competition.
quote:

Will encounter technical learning curve moving to receiver or secondary in full-time capacity. Athletic and on-field profiles may more ideally lend to defensive projection, but relative lack of height and frame potential may force to receiver in the long run

Take this for what it’s worth.

I think BK and staff have addressed ou CB needs.

- Ju'Juan Johnson (four-star cornerback)

- Cai Bates (four-star cornerback)

- Bernard Causey (three-star cornerback)

- PJ Woodland (three-star cornerback)

- Wallace Foster (three-star cornerback)

This is a building class, and that's fine.

We should have enough guys on this team already to fill a strong depth chart next season. If we still have major issues, it's a development problem.

You think we add 1 more Cb to class or portal? Hopefully a minimum 2 freshman CB are EE so they can get in early gain weight and get use to college life.
