I'm interested to see how this new "NIL" reins things in. I still don't understand how the NCAA will verify that the player is actually doing something equivalent to what they are receiving for NIL money.
Of course, Alabama and Texas will probably just have the player wave to the people at a Automobile dealership for 1 minute and the NCAA will say. "hmm, that is worth 1 million dollars".
This is going to be a nightmare.

They can't police this. You're correct. All this did was make the money be moved to legit businesses owned by alumni/boosters. They can't cap endorsement money and if they do, they'll get sued through their teeth and lose. The cap is 100% pointless. All it does is tell you what the school is working with. It says 0 on how much money they can make off endorsements which is where the extra money will get funneled to.
There's absolutely no way they can give market valuation on a player's NIL endorsements. That's up to the business and player on if it's worth it or not.

Transfer Portal is killing collegiate sports. Don't even mention loyalty useless $$$ is involved. I don't care if it benefits LSU hugely or not. It's gonna be where fans are just cheering for the sticker on side of helmets & not 1 and done players

Just for the record, Lonn reported this 3hrs ago, and is now using an Instgram post by Durham 20hrs ago as his evidence that he is going in the portal

Shoddy journalism there, Lonn.

Yea, but then if he really does enter the portal, Lonn will throw it in everyone's face. And if he doesn't, no one will care, because no one respects him as a journalist to begin with.

That's why Saban retired.

Moscona mentioned the other day Caden ending up at Ole Miss would not shock anyone around the program.

Berry is so much better. Hopefully keep him and add lacy

worked out well for Logan Diggs... let's see how it goes for Caden, if that's the route he chooses

The only two metrics he trumped Durham in were fumbles and penalties

Caden is literally running into DL guys 3 yards in the backfield. OL is getting bullied.

Being in the portal doesn't necessarily mean they are leaving. Some have been asked to look elsewhere, but others are using the portal to negotiate a new/better deal.
Everyone on the Oline better be leaving, because heaven help them if they think they've earned a better deal.

The running back coach has been pretty terrible.
