Funny you made that comparison, because that's who he reminds me of as well.

Not to be an arse, but Shea is on a different level from the kid you posted.

I don't take it that way. I am just showing an example of how much difference there is in player rankings even when film looks similar.

As I said earlier, the services don't even have a rating on him. He has no offers listed. This kid just received a state level award in 5A for Offensive MVP of the year as well as many other smaller awards. One announcer back during the playoffs called him the best QB in LA in 2016... knowing that Patterson is in the 2016 class I knew that would choke some folks. Also the kid has camped several places. I figure he would at least garner some interest as a 3*.

As for Shea being on a different level... Shea is playing in the smallest private school division and Scott is playing in the largest public school division. The opposing teams in his film are mostly 5A schools. His only losses this year were to Byrd at Shreveport by one score and to Acadiana, the state champ, at Acadiana by one score...

I like this, but I also like Shea's size.

You would bring in someone else's qb to throw a hail mary? .0000001% Franks comes if SP comes.

Shea plays division 3 in the playoffs which is not the smallest division get the facts straight before you run off at the mouth. Also Calvary plays a pretty tough schedule every year. That's a big part of who they're just take a look at there schedule. Shea has shown that he can play with and beat some of the best teams in the state no doubt this kid is a baller.

anyone think that LSU needs to show some significant improvement in the passing game next year to really close this guy?

I mean as much as he likes LSU, the offense in 2014 has to give him some doubts.

Dude that just showed me you have NO idea about Louisiana high school football....you know Calvary was ranked as top 5 in ALL classifications this year? And they are ranked top 100 in the nation? They have over 10 D1 players. How about research a little before talking....

Byrd squeaked out a win by a field goal against Zachary/Scott. Byrd beat the "Olddawg" snot out of Calvary/Patterson... Just so you know. That must make Byrd way up there in the national rankings.

Your retarded....dude it's so easy to compare games such as....Calvary loses to Byrd, then Calvary goes to West monroe and beats them at there place (which no Shreveport team had beaten WM at home in 20 years), then Byrd goes to WM in the playoffs an gets whooped. We can do that crap all day...Calvary played the worst game statistically all year against Byrd so please try again...

And there starting D1 runningback got hurt the first quarter he didn't play the rest of the game and second strong runningback tore his ACL week before so let them with a freshmen runningback.

To me, he would be the biggest commit to LSU since Miles has been at LSU.

It's big. I wouldn't understate Fournette over Bama though. We would be in trouble right now if he went to Tuscaloosa. Not to mention the ensuing melt that would have occurred.

He's 5-11, 190 and looks like the other QB's we have recruited and have busted

I can understand why he isn't ranked

We need to get away from turning an athlete into a QB and recruit a QB

No more science projects for Les to frick up

I'm sold. Just looking at Scott's highlights tells me he's Dak Prescott Part Deux, although their very different players. It would be another case of LSU missing out on an in-state QB who goes and stars elsewhere. We can't let him leave the state and go to another SEC power, especially one in our division.

And I believe he'll start getting those offers, if hasn't already.

Dak is a much larger QB than he is

And LSU doesn't even need to be running a Dak offense anyway

And I said " although their very different players." I was referring to the situations being similar, not so much the players.

My worst fear is that LSU will pass on him, and Scott will bring his team into Tiger Stadium sometime in the future and cause us grief. Like Dak did.

I don't know about Dak but he is a pretty good player. As fate would have it I was talking to my neighbor today and his son plays with Scott at ZHS and he said Pinkel is showing a lot of interest right now.

Its funny that this kid has no offers right now and if Mizzou offers everyone here will be screaming bloody murder and the fence is down!

You need to be more concerned about Belton being the next Dak than the Scott kid. He might even end up at the same school. No one knows how his knee will heal, but he was standing flat footed with that torn up knee throwing it 65 yards before the WM/Destrehan semifinal. He's 6'3" 220+, with the best arm of the bunch. Not saying LSU should blindly offer. Just saying the state is loaded in '16 with QBs. Physically, Scott is 3rd of those.

I'm sorry but from someone that has seen each play i would take Harris all day. I watched both SP and BH play byrd. Harris destroyed Byrd while Patterson looked lost and did not look very accurate. SP has athleticism, maybe more than BH but from i saw BH is the the better qb. But what do i know? im just like you guys

Not at all. It's not elite, but it's above average. There's a throw he makes from the 50 to end zone on the outside that shows me all I need to see. His offensive line wasn't spectacular, but his pocket awareness is off the charts.

I've seen both play and camp. SP can make all the throws. BH has a rocket. Truly "Elite" arm strength. Flick of the wrist and its on fire.
