aTm is about to up the ante on these kids. If you think aTm paid these kids enough money to show up today only to tell them and offer them the status quo you’re behind the times.

If LSU is not willing to go to war they will lose these kids just as they’ve lost them in the past to aTm.

This scenario was always going to happen and will continue year after year.

hey get paid to go to these things. I heard about FSU doing this back during the summer. Wouldn't surprise me that Florida is doing it too.

Every major school is paying expenses for unofficials. If you aren’t then they ain’t showing up.

Yes we are doomed. I’m hearing Woodward is considering dropping the football program

Not you specifically CC, I’m just venting. BKs stance about refusing to get into bidding wars is just not going to work. We’ve likely offered our packages and now aTm is countering.

Meh offer them market value.

If they are simply highest bidder recruits, then they will probably bust anyway. That never seems to work out.

That game was a snoozefest. Let them compare that to Saturday night in Death Valley.

They already have visits set up for LSU.
Didn't go to USC or Colorado
Maybe just wanted to go somewhere for the weekend.

South Carolina is bad. A&M look meh at best. The atmosphere was was uninspiring. The Aggies are reporting apathy and a lack of excitement around the program. Hopefully Bussey and Miller picked up on the attitudes regarding their program.

Dumbest allowable benefit. If all expenses are paid then no other benefits should be allowed. Or give signed commitments $5000 after signing day.

It’s not allowed lol. I swear all the people who bitch the most about NIL know the absolute least about it. First off, no program is allowed to pay any player anything directly, for visiting or otherwise—not even once a guy is enrolled. For two, no program is allowed to arrange any such payment from a third party. And for three, third parties (the only ones allowed to do anything with NIL in the first place) aren’t allowed to condition payments on anything pertaining to a particular school, be it attendance, commitment, visiting, or anything else.

It’s damn near impossible to police, so long as the program is organized well, but it isn’t a matter of the system of rules being shitty. Whenever you hear coaches or athletic department suits complaining about certain aspects of NIL or calling for certain rules to be implemented, they’re almost always advocating for rules that either a) are already in place (eg “buying players”), or b) would unquestionably be struck down by courts (eg a salary cap). They know this; they’re just arguing in bad faith for the sake of public opinion.

I don’t think anyone knows the ins and outs of NIL. It’s like the Wild West.

If either were my sons and he didn’t take $5000 for a visit no matter where it was I would punch him in the face and put him on the bus to Faggieland

just win Saturday!

QB, OT, DL, CB are the top $$ guys you need to sign every year and fill from there.

Funny how we use to have trouble with the first 2 and now it's the last 2.

Yeah then have to deal with the rat poison of these weirdo Aggie recruiters in your ear and blowing up your phone all day.
They have a lot of money but these donors still want something to show for it.

But it's really not. The problem is the NCAA is choosing to ignore nearly everything.

The 5k for visits is illegal. It's not NIL. It's old school cheating.

Oh it's definitely illegal, as is pay for play. That doesn't it stop it from happening, LSU included.
