More confirmation that "something" is up. Being reported that what he signed today at ceremony was NOT the LOI:

quote:

But as is often the case in signing day ceremonies nowadays, the piece of paper Burch sat down and signed in front of the cameras wasn’t actually his letter of intent. That’s commonly done before or after the ceremony and then faxed to the school. Only then can the program publicly acknowledge the signee.

Either Burch or his mom is obviously not happy or excited about him going to USCe. That much is obvious at this point.

I don't think he's obligated to send the LOI in today.

Pretty easy to figure out - it’s the opening day that recruits are allowed to sign (until the new and recent early signing period). Duh

It's more for the coaches than it is for the players. They need to know how many spots they have left ASAP.

As long as he wants. Signing day isn't a deadline.

The early signing day(s) changed things a bit, allowing 3 days in December during which a recruit may sign.

But NSD (today) is the FIRST day a recruit may sign (following early signing period). Not the ONLY day.

As of Muschamp’s 4:30 p.m. press conference Wednesday, the program has yet to acknowledge Burch, meaning he hasn’t sent in his letter of intent. Huntley was officially recognized by USC after his ceremony Wednesday and Muschamp spoke on him during his press conference.
