I mean, he has great potential but LSU isn't in position to develop a guy while he learns here. Unless he plans to ride the pine here - which he will not want to do - why would we want him now? Go prove yourself somewhere your sophomore year then maybe LSU will dump a bag for you. Why would we want to take a risk when you have way more proven potential in the portal?
We're going to need a 2 and 3 guy here but nobody like this is going to want to sit behind someone like Leavitt if he comes to LSU.

Underwood would flourish immediately under Kiffin. The kid is a generational talent. If JUCO Chambliss can kill it under Kiffin I have no question that Underwood would do the same. I think people underestimate how prehistoric Michigan's offensive scheme is. Bryce Underwood is a MAJOR take with Lane running the offense. It would be a slam dunk.

He means you don’t see All American/Heisman caliber players in the portal. But a bunch of guys with potential that could turn out great at your program or be a huge bust.

He wasn't really asked to throw the ball down the field much this season. Now that might be due to the offense they were in or that the staff didn't want to put him in those situations that could be problematic and they wanted to keep it simple for him. Or it could be that he had trouble reading the defenses so they didn't want to call those plays.
Regardless there is a decent amount of development that will be needed. LK could be excellent when combined with Bryce but I would also be shocked if Bryce does in fact transfer when the donors of Michigan are still going to be paying him very well.
