I thought their coaching hire was mediocre at best. Harbaugh left them hanging when he left. The guy may turn it around but he was thrust into a bad situation by inheriting a team that just won a Natty and hence would lose a lot of players. Then with HC leaving roster and staff was even more of a challenge

The stars aligned perfectly for Michigan last year. They got to play the worst SEC champion in quite some time in the playoffs last year. That probably won’t be happening again for a long time. They won’t recruit at the level needed to be a title contender.

How’s it a bad situation? Michigan under Harbaugh had classes anywhere from 10-17in recruiting for the last 5-7 years and there was plenty of talent left . Harbaugh was the best at developing players but Sherone is a joke. Believe me I watch Michigan a lot more than you buddy and the hire was plain lazy reeked of “Let’s just keep the kids Happy “ rather than a proven track record coach. Meechegan will be back looking for a real coach in a few years.
