It's frustrating if anything. He tries to force a guy into the position when the team can be so much better. It reminds me of 2008 when we didn't have the guns to play with the top dogs, but he refused to slow the game down and play the option run to try to keep the ball out of the hands of Florida, UGA, and Ole Miss. Now I have some other opinions based on former coaches at LSU that I have talked to, but I won't bring them up here, but it leads me to believe the pigeon hole theory is correct.

Although, what kind of message would this send to A Jennings and B Harris?
I don't know, but I for one am not willing to just wait and hope that one develops. If you can get a ready upgrade for 2015, you do it. It could save Miles' job. If anything, it should cause both current QB's to bust there arse everyday to get better.(like Red mentioned) If they can't deal with that, then we don't need them IMO.

What message did Coker to Bama send to Blake Sims? Seems to have lit a fire under his arse. I'd take the same for Harris.

You have the right idea.

Can't be scared of MORE talent.

Everyone should take notice - get stronger, wiser, and more proficient in the offense, than the other guy, and you will start. Pretty simple.

OSU fans were getting tired of Miller's non passing skills. His poor accuracy (don't be fooled by his completion percentage) and decision making.

Didn't you say that Miller coming to LSU would stunt Harris' growth?

No... if they don't have enough confidence the can win the job let them go.
It's not like they lit the SEC up. I think Harris can win the job out right but
he needs to sleep with that play book until it is second nature to him.

The message it would send is this...sometimes a freshman or sphomore can come into a program and have success quickly, be the starter by adjusting to the college game. More then likely, it will take a kid 2 to 3 years to get ready...LSU has a proven starter with real game experience, who is a graduate student with a year of eligibility wanting an opportunity to play in the best conference. The message is, guys...you aint ready! Braxton is gonna help you learn as you watch.

Not true. They were trying to get RG III. He chose Baylor. JJ got an offer very late, I think the middle of December after the state championship.
