LSU should give this kid a look. 5 TDs today in the 4A State Championship game against Kilgore who has been giving up very few points a game all season. Good wheels and extremely accurate even on the run… and that’s without much WR talent around him. Our whole suite has been having Joe Burrow flash backs watching him.

Not sure we even need to look at HS QBs.

I would focus on proven portal QBs from now on. The NfL doesn’t take QBs out of high school, they take proven Starters from the best programs in college.

I'd be surprised if we give scholarships to kids who we don't expect to at least compete in the rotation immediately until NIL gets sorted out. Projects may leave before you even get them coached up. Transfer portal guys are the way to go. Get HS kids if they are on the 2 deep day 1.

Yall are going to be disappointed in Hurley. I don't think he ever throws a pass at a sec school. Dumbest thing you can do is go be a college qb at 16.

26’ Lil Nuss
27’ Haven

Since BU decommitted
We can now be on the look out for a qb every cycle again

This??

Unless Hurley was built like Adrian Peterson or Bo Jackson coming off a high school field, I don't understand who saw fit to let this child basically be 2 grades ahead of what he should be playing at and to what end?

Cant imagine his physical, emotional, social and overall personal independence could be at a level conducive to where it needs to be to manage and compartmentalize the various responsibilities abruptly thrown at him in a college setting. Many kids are not mentally disciplined to juggle being on their own and focused on what is important.

It's somewhat common these days to allow younger students entry from an academic standpoint, but to do so athletically is virtually unheard of and there is reason for this: physical maturation. Im pretty sure he still has little definition to his muscles even with a year of collegiate workout routines.

I can't help but to feel this situation will never bear fruit in a Tiger Uniform. And with Van Buren on the roster and presumably more advanced than Hurley in every respect. Do we think he potentially "learns and rides pine" until his redshir t senior year? Those days of such an occurrence are a distant memory.

Hurley will hit the portal at the end of next year... Bc his "advisers" would tell him, he's ready to start at 18. And that's unfortunate for the resources and coaching that will inherently innure to another team's benefit.

Haven ain’t the savior y'all think he is. He doesn’t have any wheels. He’s going to have to be a pocket passer. He’s not dual threat.

He just finished his soph HS season. Maybe give it some time before labeling him a bust.

I never said bust. He plays poor competition and he doesn’t have speed. He may be the next Tom Brady. He just isn’t the runner I thought he was. That won’t change in 2 years. That doesn’t mean he won’t be an elite QB.
