Billy Embody on Hangin with Hester today

Echoed a lot of what Wiltfong said yesterday.
Said he'd never seen anything like when the LSU players went over to the Alabama recruits on Saturday.
Guillory had been silently committed for about a month before making it public over the weekend.
Ricks and Roy have both shut down their recruitment.
Said there's really 4 more that we are targeting.
- Burch
- Webb
- Dumervil
- Evans (says we're the leader)
Also said Edgerrin Cooper (OLB from Covington committed to OU) was another one to potentially watch.
Said Burch's recruitment will likely go down to the end but LSU is definitely in it. He was at Bama game on Saturday. USCe, Bama, Georgia, LSU, Clemson all in the mix for him.
Hester asked about OL recruiting. Embody says Dumervil and Crawford (has work to do in classroom - will sign in February) are the main targets.

Thank you. That makes complete sense with Volt13 mentioning in 2 posts yesterday that LSU is looking to sign around 23 in the early signing period. Last 2 spots would be for Burch and Crawford.

We are at 25 currently. It would be better for the coaches to tell a player they may not have a spot and to look for another team privately than to burn bridges by doing it publicly and having everyone speculate who will get cut.

Evans being a silent scares me cause this same thing happened with Georgia earlier this season. But with the success LSU has been having I can’t see him changing his mind.

LSU should look even more attractive to Evans now with the success Clyde has been having and all the attention he's been receiving. I really thought he would return for his senior season but he is gone by playing himself into a draft pick.
With just Davis and Emory on the roster (maybe Curry transfers... hope not)that would be a great rotation with those 3 going into 2020.

This right here- if you really pay attention to the timeline on the board. I also think Evans is a silent. And he is definitely the best back in the class. Our rotation next year is bananas
