Yeah i wouldnt mind if players started making their decisions when they are actually ready. To be honest i have no idea where this guy is on our board, but i do know they want Johnson, or barrett 1st, then mitch. I could be wrong.

So it's ok to post premium on the SECRB?

I was wondering that as well. There is a lot of premium info posted there everyday.

I don't think it's watched over by the admins yet. They don't have access to other teams premium sites so that they can monitor it. Until they do it will likely continue.

I know he's a much better football player than he is at estimating crowds. I thought it was in the range of 30,000-33,000 for the spring game.

Probably what he was told by the staff. Things like that are exaggerated in recruiting pitches like sizes and speeds are on recruiting sights. Rarely accurate.

Good point Memphis. The difference though is that most of the time they announce where the info came from. If the admins really wanted to crack down on it then they'd just read the threads and the posters would give themselves away. I hope they leave it alone. Know your enemy and all. I pay for sites and still have no issue with the info being posted over here. It gets here anyway just without the quotes and full articles most of the time. There are still some things that don't get here but it's rare.

It's not like our insiders and pay boards are as open as others either. I swear some minds would be blown if people knew just how much some sites hold back. Our guys do a great job of getting the big stories out, but most of what they know is kept between a secret circle of trust between them and their source. Which I have no problem with.

BOL and the other Bama sites seem more open to release every bit of info possible. IMO they are regarded as the best in the business, but what if ours released everything they knew? What if others did the same? I think the margin of difference would be decreased significantly.

That's the way the most creditable writers handle this imagined grey area. If they want to keep good sources they play by the sources rules.

I read yesterday where Riley Ferguson has started taking visits. Was already at South Carolina and is headed to TTown for Bama Spring game. Said he might cut favorites down to five by summer. Does he have a visit to BR set up before the summer is over?

Don't see Ferguson leaving the east coast. Will likely go to Clemson or South Carolina. Georgia may be a player because of the LeMay brothers

Cooper Bateman is the best qb in the nation IMO. I really hope we lead for him and can hold off U of Washington. He's easily the best qb on our board right now.

You are right but I have watched film on all the qb's we are recruiting and the two best are Cody Thomas and Bateman in my opinion but I am not a scout so who knows what the staff sees in these other guys. I would be good with any of gem really but I think Thomas is the best qb in this class and Bateman is not way behind him

I'm no scout either and I do like Thomas. But I just don't see the same arm strength and accuracy on the deep ball and he doesn't have quick feet in the pocket like Bateman does. He also has a bit of a sidearm delivery which is OK but I'd like to see more of a conventional release. I think the spread offense helps him out a lot with him being 6"5, kinda like with Tannehill at a&m. IMO Conner Mitch's film is a little better than Thomas'

The thing about Thomas to me is he understands already how to read defenses and move defenders with his eyes and he shows you that on film although reading sec defenses and highschool defenses are entirely different worlds I would admit he still has a good base I agree he could work on his accuracy but I think his arm strength is fine. It's not the strongest but that tends to be way overrated in myopinion. Footwork is coachable but his size isn't. Looks to me like a future first rounder but again that's just me

I dont know. Seems like the lack of pressure and the scheme they run is helping him out. I'm not saying he doesn't look good, but I don't see him making a lot of difficult throws under duress. You gotta watch out for those texas hs defenses. A lot of the texas hs qbs look like pros in their highlight film.

That is probably the total that came and went throughout the game, not the number that was there at any given moment in time.
