Bateman comments on LSU.......

“I spent two whole days at LSU and it was incredible,” Bateman said. “This was the one school I spent more than one day at and the thing that stood out was the fan support. They had 45,000 fans for their spring game and the stadium is insane there. I can only imagine what it would be like to play in an actual game there.
“They have a great coaching staff and my mom and I were really comfortable with them. We had dinner with Coach Miles and his family and it was really cool to get to know him on a personal level. I also got to sit in on the quarterback meetings and talked a lot with coach Kragthorpe and Studrawa and that was great as well.”

He clearly did not eat enough Cajun cuisine if he thinks FL food out weighs it.

I thought the same thing. I had a WTF response to that. I've been to about 10 LSU/UF games, and every time I go, I leave thinking how awesome the food was.

Unless our board has changed since the spring game weekend, Bateman is at best #3 on the board. Jihnson from AL and JT Barrett were previously the top 2 and I doubt it's changed. Bateman may be #1 on the pro style side. I doubt we'd turn him down though.
This is the 1st thing I've seen that gives me any kind of hope to land Bateman. Still don't think we do but at least there are some positive vibes from him. Just haven't seen any real positivity from our people in regards to us landing him. Maybe I missed it.

No one has a clue. He isn't tipping his hat in any direction.
Washington, LSU, Auburn, UF, and Bama are all optimistic at this point.

I've gotten that feeling from Auburn people,UF people,Bama people and Washington people. Only thing I've heard definitive is that Utah might be the team to beat if all else is equal at the moment. Personally while it doesn't stop thr cravings for info about him, I like the way his recruitment is being handled. No tipping of the hand and hopefully it stays that way. Maybe we can actually have a kid that makes a decision with every school and their fans in the dark until the last few moments. It's getting more and more rare these days.
