Basketball Transfer portal.

We will likely be looking to load up in the transfer portal this year. With so much experience leaving and the rest of the team being young, look for Wade to hit the portal hard. He said he expects the Big 4 to leave and will be recruiting accordingly. Likely a few others now getting Pt may leave also. That being said is anyone keeping up with it? What does the transfer look like? Are we in the running for any of them? I’d expect it to be deep this year. Are we in the running for anymore elite high school guys? What do the next couple years look like for recruiting? Can we land a few more guys like we have recently?

His list includes some of the remaining un-committed recruits but provides excellent coverage on each option.

Pay site, I'm not interested enough to subscribe. I am curious, though. One of my son's old teammates entered the transfer portal from St. Johns. Gregg Williams. Curious if he ranks top 50 in that article. I haven't kept up TBH.
ETA: Just entered in the last day or so I think, so he may not be in that article even if he is considered a high prospect.

I wonder how much LSU can "load up" from the portal? If we assume the "big 4" are all gone, that still only leaves LSU with one open scholarship based on my count. That is unless LSU has (a) unexpected attrition from the current roster and/or (b) the covid rules allow teams to exceed the 13 player limit with NEW players (as opposed to keeping seniors for another year)

247 and Verbal commits have trackers, the problem is that its hard to kind of see who all we are actively recruiting in it.

With Chris Beard going to Texas you have to wonder if that has any ripple effect on the Texas Tech roster. LSU recruited Micah Peavy hard. Though I don't know if a 6'7" SF with virtually no outside shot is what next year's LSU team desperately needs.

Not sure if he will enter portal, but LJ Cryer is barely playing for Baylor. Ties to Louisiana, officially visited LSU last year, one of top scorers in the history of high school basketball in Texas. 6’1” 180 guard.

I imagine Cryer will stay put. Everything opens up for him with Butler, Mitchell, and Teague moving on after this season. That's a lot of guard minutes.

Yeah, I figure he will, but I know we recruited him hard and we have guard minutes opening up and he will run well in our offense.
