At the end of the day Can LSU fit Pooka and Joiner in the class?

1Make no mistake, I want both. Some will say losing one helps your chances with Cain next year but I’m a bird in the hand kind of guy. I want Pooka and Joiner. And cook and Surtain. I don’t care who that 5th spot is...

on 12/15/17 at 9:54 am to Random LSU HeroNot getting both. Pooka is clearly a backup plan to Joiner, which is why Joiner is being offered as a RB and Pooka as a WR even though he wants to play RB in college.
Add to that the facts that 3 of the top 10 guys next year are RB and we are in a number crunch - just dont see how they both make it.

Pooka is a WR in the way that Chark is a WR. Just put the ball in his hands and enjoy the show.

Thats got nothing to do with the recruiting process though. If a guy wants to play RB in college, you offer him as RB. If you flat out say "hey, we think youre a WR", thats really a way to keep him on the line but not press/accept a commitment. Thats the way the recruiting game works.
I do . If they can get both they will take both . Especially if they feel Pooka can help in the return game .
This is how I see Pooka . He’s the guy we see on Sportcenter for some other team breaking 80 yard plays while LSU fans say “ how did we drop the ball with this guy “? If he wants in, you make room.

I don't think you can fit both. I've said in the past, I like Pooka, I know he's a local guy and a fantastic story, but he's a piece. You would arguably be passing over someone who can carry some heavy weight offensively (as in be the guy, not just one of the guys) if you take Pooka.

Yes as Pooka will likely play more in the Slot.
That’s essentially just saying he’s too small for the SEC. I don’t agree with that, especially with the offense we currently run. Compare him to a 175lb Russell Gage, who was the last man afterthought in his class, and who became a big time player and fan favorite. Pooka is a game changer.

If we find room at WR then i can see Pooka making his way into the class but from what i've seen Pooka is looked at as a second choice behind Joiner
You're correct in theory but it what position a kid is recruited at can sometimes cause a problem with other kids at the same position.
Recruiting Pooka at wr is different because the numbers are higher and therefore will have less of an effect with others on the board. You recruit him and accept him as a RB then you hurt the cause with Joiner and possibly Provens or Curry. Its a situational thing based in need and others on the board at the positions.
