First off you are being a debbie downer. Second, how do you know 110% we have no traction with top recruits? What, you are just going by profiles on 247, Rivals or somewhere else? You do realize that those profiles get updated and today's news could be old news until tomorrow.

Recruiting is fluid. Many people just can't grasp this. Those guys may PUBLICLY have not shown interest. But how about if there is a change of heart or they actually listen to a pitch from O or someone on the staff and started to like what they hear? How about a new hire for the recruiting staff. You don't think a Godfather of NOLA HS football, Frank Wilson, could not carry great influence with SVP and Clayton or any S.La recruit if he was hired. You know he could be working behind the scenes right now for all we know.

As far as the paid services there are things going on all the time out of the public eye that Scike, Jimmy Details, Sonny, Shea, Billy and the rest of the bunch don't know at this very minute. Oh they will know along with the National guys in due time and before any of us. In all due respect most of them are good at what they do. But they are not a fly on the wall of O's office or have O's phone on wire tap. And there are things they know privately they can not reveal.

So wherever you are getting 411 about next to zero interest in LSU from high profiled recruits could be old news or mis direction. Remember a few weeks ago we had Rakim and Burto in hand and Zach and Burch were in the wings. Things change and it goes both ways. If someone does not comprehend that then they may not know as much about recruiting as they think they do:).

Probably because he’s not that “committed” and if LSU decides to kiss his arse a little he can be swayed to stay home. His posturing in the op’s quotes are just that, posturing.

If he really felt that way he would have already faxed his paperwork to Colorado.

I would actually respect what he had said if he had signed with UC and stands by his principles of not being LSU’s backup plan.
