You want some news to come out that these recruits decommitted because they felt like Les Miles is an idiot and the program is obviously headed into the ground, but you're not going to get it. Call it a positive spin all you want, but if you actually follow recruiting, you would know that decommitments happen at this time of the year every single year as recruits feel the pressure from their family, friends, and coaches to stay at home and play in front of everyone they know. You want to focus on the big names we missed out of state, but how about Ware from Ohio, Maclin from Tennessee, Lee from Texas, Washington from Texas, Gibson from Alabama, etc.?

Miles better get some fire back on the sidelines and in our team. Next fall's schedule is going to be a killer. And the young inexperienced QB excuse is NOT going to fly any longer.
Anybody getting paid 4+ million with the facilities that he was handed better have a team perform at a high level. The last 2 years were slightly disappointing.

...says the guy that believes a 6'2" 180lb player should be a TE.

I don't like how LSU isn't recruiting a lot of speed on offense...its moving into more like a Big Ten team and we're a partial spread. Seriously.

Its also downright embarrassing if we lose Fobbs to A&M, I don't care how anyone spins it "mom wanting him to go or not".

Sylve should be top priority for us next year with Landry because hes the speed we don't have at WR right now.

On Saturday, the LSU Tigers made up some ground in getting a verbal from Armand Williams who was the AABG Offensive Game MVP. Williams has a 6-11 in the high jump; a 42 inch vertical jump; and what I believe to be a world record 139 in the Standing Broad Jump. In the All-American Bowl Game, Williams caught four passes for over 200-yards, including a 91-yard touchdown pass. With the verbal from Williams, the Tigers moved up to the #6 spot in the National Rercruiting Rankings. Spencer Ware was also the leading rusher in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game.

USC 5* QB Matt Barkley leds his team to 8-4 and 3* QB Jefferson leds us to a 9-3 season

outside of short yardage, we never run this. If you are going to trash Miles at least get your facts straight.
Jimbo Fisher used it all the time.

He's a freak athlete. I don't see why people are so worried about him... If you are going to take a shot on a lowly recruited/ranked guy... take a shot on one that is a hell of an athlete and Williams is that.

Nah, hes not locked at WR. Depends on how his frame will fill out.

Alrighty. Thanks for your opinion.

I'd like to quote tigerbill, a poster at TSD, on some interesting info:

"Florida has a 2* WR
Texas has two 3* WR
Oklahoma has two 3* WR

Michael Crabtree was a 6'1 185 lbs, 4.6 forty 2* WR who just so happened to be the only 2-time Biletnikoff winner."

In all seriousness though...I'm not knocking these guys at all because I think they're all going to be great players.

Hilliard
Ware
Williams
Wright
Hill
Blue
Gore
RR(hes more fluid than he is fast)

We really been recruiting guys with size, strength and some with quickness. But we have no guys with pure gamebreaking speed on offense, seriously. Its like we're moving to a more power big ten team. We need SOME guys with the ability to get a little crease and then take it to the house.

Like I said, we desperately need Sylve next year.

lets go back a few years to mcknight....how many titles did usc win with him? 0
how many did lsu win w/o him? 1

now how many titles wil auburn win with reed? 0
How many will lsu win w/o him? 1 2011 book it.

now on to this attrition bullshite and lsu recruiting being on the slide. How quickly people forget that in 2003 we had a freshman rb and a freshman safety starting. and lets not forget daniels getting his rs taken off the last game of the year. Does anyone remember clayton playing both sides of the ball? i do. but yet saban gets a pass and miles doesnt. People are just making shite up like lsu recruting is just going to go on a slide because we lost a few games....well it wont.

Maybe that is one problem with the team. It never hurts to have gamebreakers with speed.

I'm not saying some of those guys are slow, like, I'd bet RR probably runs around a 4.5, hes just a long strider. But we needs guys with gamebreaking speed. Sylve is one of the fastest guys in the country next year. Luckily for us, hes considered a lean.
