And all of you who are trying the assign the last 5 spots to various people.... Do you not think the staff is gonna hold one for a quarterback?

I want this kid.

Are we in the hunt? Yes.

Are we in his Top 2/3? I don't think so. I think a lot has to happen for him to end up signing with us.

Is it down to us and Bama? Or is there someone else in play?

In the hunt? Yes.

Going to land him? Maybe, but I can't count on it at this point. I mean, prying a kid that Alabama appears to want out of Montgomery - the kid is smart and must see the crowded bench at Bama, but that doesn't usually stop Bama kids from staying home.

And, the other 2 schools high on him are FSU and aTm, and Jimbo has moved from one to the other - maybe that hurts both of them, but I feel like we've been running 3rd/4th since mid-season.

Alabama
Florida State
Texas A&M
Us

I do not believe we are in front of Alabama or FSU right now. A&M is late to the game, but with Jimbo jumping from FSU to A&M it puts them way more in it than they would be otherwise.

I think you hold one for a quarterback if that quarterback is willing to tell the coaches he will sign. If not, you don’t turn down any of the other guys we are trying to get that want to come to LSU. That’s a good way to end up losing out on two recruits. It’s a different day in recruiting. Some years we may be in a position to hold out and hope. I’m not sure this is the year we have to do that.

Fisher boys gonna Fisher. I heard he is making headway into getting Devin white to transfer.

Btw, obvious sarcasm. Some of you think Fisher is THAT good though. Lol

This is an epic fail if you don’t sign a QB in this class, and every class, going forward. A decade plus of mediocre QB play, and we still don’t get a dynamic playmaker at the most important position on the field?!?!

Don’t give me the “we signed two last year”...we should sign one every year to give ourselves options and maintain a progression going forward.

And it’s not a good look that Canada isn’t on the road recruiting “his guy” at QB...maybe that’s because Canada isn’t “O’s guy”...

Will not hurt to pass on a quarterback. Hoping they don’t sign one. And we shouldn’t sign another running back.

He would be a fool to choose Bama. Tua and his younger brother will be in his way

Obviously it doesn't tell the whole story, but since it wasn't just the "good" plays like the typical HS clips I thought it was worth posting.

My concern with him is the same as what I see when discussing the DT QBs in general. I want a passer that's athletic, not an athletic guy that passes. You never know how well these kids are coached though. Maybe with better developmental coaching he will be a star.

I would not choose the phrase epic fail. And I think its a very solid and good class.

But you cannot sugar coat the fact that if LSU lets an in state five star qb go out of state and cant replace him with another good qb, that is not a fail for this class.

We needed to layer in a good qb under Brennan and Narcisse. We are a sprained Brennan ankle away from having a redshirt freshman qb with a history of knee trouble running the show. Thanks goodness McMillan hasn't transferred our depth at the most important position on the field is not good and might not be helped by this class.

Its not like the staff doesn't think we need a qb in the class, they are just having a hard time getting one and that's a miss if they don't. Just keeping it real.

He looked fine.

This is an all-star game practice. These are not the receivers he's been throwing to all year, so the timing is off. First four passes were off, but it got a lot better.

And those receivers are being covered by all-stars. He adjusted.
