Arch wasn't wearing an LSU shirt in "The Book of Manning' unless LSU has orange jerseys with white numbers and black trim.

Maybe he'll wind up at LSU, but it surprises me that people actually think the clip at the end means he was an LSU fan. Archie was asking the grandchildren who their favorite team was and when he got to Arch, he said "LSU." It was just a kid joking with his grandfather, trying to get a rise out of him. That's why Archie chuckled and knew Arch was pulling his leg.

Arch may like LSU now, but as a kid, he was just joking. My money would still be on Ole Miss. Cooper probably loves Ole Miss more than Eli does. He'll let Arch decide for himself, but the Ole Miss allegiance in that family is still very strong.

He is a big LSU fan and some of his best buddies are coming here. He is tight with Walker Howard and I don’t think that any of them are scared of the competition.
Any top rank team he would choose will have a 5* on the team. So if we turn this around on defense we have the offense already top 25 and that’s with a below average offensive line.

If we get those horses we are signing now on our o-line I think we will be hard for him to pass on.

You may be right, and he may be a big LSU fan, but if Nuss and Howard are on the roster when it comes time for Arch to sign, it would be the biggest get of Qrgeron's career if he could pull him. Heck, as much as I love LSU, even I would advise him to go elsewhere. I think Howard is much more talented than Arch, also.

I’ll say this. He isn’t going to Ole Miss or Tennessee. Kid will make his own path. LSU, Bama, and Clemson will be the final 3. Texas and aTm will get mentioned. Guess we’ll find out eventually

There's still a long ways to go, but Clemson is definitely near the top.

The Manning family has very painful memories of CEO during his years at Ole Miss. Don't get your hopes up. Like ever.

I would say the chances of LSU inking Arch Manning is -350%.

if I was putting out a betting line I would put it at about +150, which is not that bad. We probably have better odds than any other individual team, but collectively the field has better odds than us.

Even those programs only bring in a 5* QB every second season. Among the programs you listed, OSU is the only one who has landed 5* QBs in back-to-back classes.

Bama brought in Bryce Young in the 2020 class, then followed that up in 2021 with Jalen Milroe, a 4* who is considered a developmental project (albeit with a high ceiling). In 2022, they jumped back into the 5* QB market and landed Ty Simpson.

Clemson brought in Trevor in 2018, followed by a developmental guy (Taisun Phommachanh) in 2019, and their next stud didn't come til 2020, in DJ Uiagalelei. In 2021, they basically skipped out on QB altogether, with their only commit at the position being a 3* backup type. After taking 2021 off, they got back into the 5* QB recruiting game in 2022, pushing *hard* for (and missing) Ty Simpson.

Oklahoma landed Spencer Rattler, the QB1 of his class, in 2019, then essentially took the 2020 cycle off in terms of QB recruiting (the only QB commit of that year being a 3*), before coming back and landing Caleb Williams in the 2021 class.

Even the programs that are capable of landing 5* QBs with regularity don't bring one in every year.

This might be his way of showing his individuality. Some kids come home with died green hair, piercings and tattoos from head to toe. Maybe his way will be to sign with LSU.

How do I know? Easy to tell by Archie's reaction that it was a joke. It's really not difficult to understand if you watch it. And if you know Cooper, you'll know that the kid comes by it naturally.

By the way, it's really impolite and uncalled for to post "FOH" to someone you don't know over a benign post on a message board.

I won’t say “no way he comes to LSU”, because I don’t have a crystal ball. However, because of the family ties to Ole Miss, and the history of that family never seriously considering LSU, I would be stunned if it happened.

It is a long time until the Early Signing Day in December 2022 and NSD February 2023.

He will of course get many offers. Even if Arch doesn’t select LSU, the cupboard is definitely not bare at the QB position.
