4100 yds 31 TDs 7 INTs
Redshirt Freshman
Obviously, played against weak competition, but is this guy worthy or being a portal target?

I've watched him play a few games. That Tulane one was by far the worst of the few I watched. Someone's going to take a shot on him. IDK if it'll be us.

Don’t overthink it
It’s Chambliss
It’s Chambliss

Meanwhile, Chambliss stats vs Tulane:
17/27 for 306 yards and 2 Toucdowns
14 carries for 112 yards

Is he a legitimate threat with his legs?

Have you heard Mestemakers story, it's pretty amazing. He started freshman B-team football in High school for 1 game, never started a game in High School at QB after that, kept practicing but never played QB, he played CB and Safety. Went to a QB camp after he graduated and they saw talent, the QB camp director got him in contact with the coach at North Texas. The team was full but the coach said if one of the walk-ons quit he could join the team, we'll it happened, he was a walk-on. Took reps with rhe 4s and 5s, work hard and made it to where he was 2nd string. Before the bowl game last year, the starting QB transfered and he started the First Responder Bowl game and the coach put him on scholarship. They lost but he threw for 393 yards 2 tds 2int, rushed for 55 yards and a td. Not too bad since his last start was with his freshman high school B-team.

Two were tipped balls the WR should have caught

One was a horrible throw behind the receiver which led to it being a pick.

The receiver ran a bad route and in turn forced the QB to throw back to the inside. It wasn’t the QBs fault

Nope.. Chambliss if granted extra year, CJ Bailey or Williams Jr from Washington if they consider going elsewhere is who LSU needs. Any of those 3 QBs would wreck shite in a Lane Kiffin offense. Chambliss has already proven he can.

LOL at all the casuals who just discovered Mestemaker this week and can't even spell his name correctly.

They going to make Chambliss promise if granted one more year you can’t transfer to LSU. @lsuhaters

Arguably one of the best stories in college football—easily better than the Chambliss story. It’s wild that he ended up buried behind two highly recruited quarterbacks in high school Brayden Buchanan Baylor, and Deuce Adams Louisville. I think the whole situation is a bit messed up, and I suspect local middle-school and high-school football politics played a huge role. When several middle-school quarterbacks feed into one high school, one kid always seems to get a built-in advantage just because of which school they came from.
At least that’s my best guess—it mirrors what happened to one of my good buddies, who had a stronger arm, was way more accurate, and was faster, but never got the same recognition because he came from the poorer side of town. He ended up being a safety. Best arm on the team and everyone new it.
It’s a shame his parents didn’t step in and find a high school willing to actually give him a real tryout and let him transfer for a fair shot. Similar to what I think happened with Holstein and Howard. His parents should’ve intervened the way the Holsteins did.

Chambliss vs Washington St
20 of 29 for 253, 2 pass TDs + 1 Rush TD. 24 team points
And Mestemaker's supporting cast isn't quite as good as Trinidad's, to say the least. He's a good player.

He sailed quite a few balls this weekend. Those will get eaten alive in the SEC. I know he's young, but still.

Yeah comparing stats against similar opponents for a guy who played for a G5 vs SEC team is silly to say the least. I’d rather Chambliss anyways but Mestemaker would not be a bad pickup.
