3 more years eligibility is exactly what we need in backup role and cleanup time and God forbid any injuries.

Seems perfect.

Being a coach myself, I take offense to this this ignorant arse statement. The overwhelming majority of high school coaches and not just head coaches, market their kids. The portal has killed opportunities for high schoolkids since Covid. Less high school kids are signing and many really good players are being left without opportunities or going to lower levels because of the portal, I’ve seen it first hand dozens & dozens of times.

The guy didn’t have a single star coming out of high school on on3.

That for all intents and purposes means he went to zero camps etc

A coach doing his job with an arm like that gets him to a camp to get his name out there

Looks like the ball traveled roughly 64 yards in in the air. That’s insane for a D2 RS freshman.

Never heard of Elon. I thought it was somehow related to Musk.

I like this kid as a backup QB though. Go get him CLK.

Well Elon isn’t D2. It’s D1 FCS.

Just curious- have you started steering any kids like this toward JUCO rather than lower levels? Now that a year or two there won’t count against their eligibility, I think they may become a more popular route to FBS football for kids who don’t catch on the first time around.

Kinda crazy a kid with an arm like that gets absolutely no FBS attention. Honestly some of it falls on his HS coaches. They should be helping him get looks

Yeah, let’s blame the HS coaches at a tiny school in the Virginia mountains because their 6’0 QB went to a strong FCS school instead of an FBS one

He is a 55% passer at Elon.

Some of passing numbers from games this year:

11-28 vs Western Carolina
10-23 vs Hampton
13-28 vs Campbell
10-24 vs NC A&T

highlights are fun, but they are just that; "high" lights. I don't even have to really watch the in-between to know he has a long way to go to be a SEC-level passer. He'd be the perfect QB3.

So everyone that goes to camp gets a star? There are literally hundreds of kids at every camp held…Power 4, Group of 5, FCS…doesn’t matter.

That said, I guarantee this kid went to camps. I guarantee he went to Elon’s camp. Sometimes guys get overlooked with good arms because of size, accuracy, physical maturity, etc.
