Any chance we get Jake Brown back since Davis bypassed draft to come to LSU?

0.01% chance, according to the experts.

Pretty sure Jake is projected to go significantly higher than Nate was. From what I recall, Jake is projected in 40-80; Nate was closer to 120-140. Of course, baseball draft projections are notoriously inaccurate, probably the worst of any of the big 3 sports.

It almost doesn’t matter.

Brown has his price, all of the teams know it. Some may wait a few extra rounds and still be in a position to pay his price.

If he’s drafted a deal is likely in place.

No......but with the rule change of 5 to play 5, Brown, as a 3rd year player, has 2 more years left. Meaning that he would still have leverage that 5th year

No, LSU outfielder Jake Brown is considered a top prospect for the 2026 MLB Draft. He is widely projected to be selected between the second and third rounds, with some rankings placing him among the Top 50 to Top 100 overall prospects. Gone. JJ might offer him 2 mil.

He'd lose a ton of money to sign with MLB if he came back to LSU. He loses all his leverage for 1 good paying NIL year? Nope. Curiel has a better shot to come back than Brown and even he's not very likely so that's your answer.

He has 2 more years to play for LSU; that because on the new 5 to play 5. He's only a 3 year player, so he would have that leverage of a 5th year.

Jake may move very close to the 1st round. He won't get round 1 money, but he's a very appealing prospect for MLB teams. He's gone, and good for him. I think he gets to an MLB roster sooner rather than later. Lefty power bat that can run, and he's a mature baseball player. Knows the game very well.
