given how long Canada seems to stay at his jobs, i agree with you guys, though, that i don't really see him being here next year... i could see us putting Ensminger, who we had success with as OC and who is a great recruiter for us, back at OC, and going after another young, AA assistant to help even further in recruiting...
again, i'd press hard for Tim Skipper from Florida, since he'll likely be looking for a job, and has coached on both sides the ball, so he can adapt to a given role...

Are you kidding me? Why the hell would LSU fire Canada before he even gets his first full recruiting class on the field.

Correct me if wrong, but this kid is a senior. You can't just say "grades trending in right direction". His GPA is the problem if he has grade issues, and by your senior year that isn't gonna change much.
Its not like he had a few F's on the first progress report. He will need straight A's to raise GPA, but if you do that then it gets flagged by NCAA for coming up too fast

How exactly do you know how bad his GPA is to make such a claim?

Talked to a pair of HHS teachers this weekend. Sounds like Pooka is destined for JUCO from their best guess.

Take the info however you like it, that’s just what I got from two VERY trustworthy personal sources. That’s the best info they had. For the record, I’m an HHS alum and still live in the area. But personally I don’t know anything more about Pooka than that he plays at my alma mater.

Canada isn't going anywhere and Ensminger doesn't want to be the OC. Half a season as OC almost killed his old arse.
