Somebody needs to let Perkins watch that Devin White speech to the team on the Tiger Rant. White mentions Patrick Queen and says he chose LSU because everyone at the next level knows what LSU produces.

In all honesty he is more than a silent commit. They don’t typically put silent s on the master board, unless he and Ed must have more than a handshake, just saying. For instance there are a couple LA. Kids that are silent s. But they aren’t listed on board yet. So I am told. I personally haven’t seen the master board, but am familiar how they keep it up,

If he was more than a silent commit, it would be public knowledge. I've seen this too many times to be fooled. I hope like hell we sign him.

FWIW, the 247/Texags buzz is that he committed at the pool party and is just waiting to announce at the AS game in January. Brian Perroni, who is the most reasonable of the A&M insiders, openly implied as much. Deyon Bouie and Jacoby Matthews both confirmed he was actively recruiting them to A&M there.

I'm hearing the same thing on Perkins. The kid loves LSU and the culture here, but other factors in play are what drove him to A&M.

Yep. Also, past history should teach us that it’s one thing to sway a Louisiana kid to stay in the end, but it’s another thing to convince a recruit living in another state who has not been committed and does not appear to be all LSU. Every year I hear that these guys are silent commits only to be disappointed in the majority of cases.

Anyone else listen to the Pat McAfee Show? He had Herbstreit on today and JUST BY COINCIDENCE he was talking about how the NIL changed recruiting and said something along the lines of "imagine a recruit going to visit LSU, gets interested in LSU, then he goes over to check out Texas A&M and they're like Hey, we can give you this, that, and the other now as long as you commit to us instead of them." I thought it was kinda crazy that he'd pick those 2 colleges to reference and this kid seems to be an exact match. Just coincidence tho.
