Pretty insane to think this kid barely hit puberty and he went out and threw 5 TDs in the state championship game in 7A. I'm sure we will be hearing the name, Trent Seaborn a lot in the next few years.

Here's a link to the local news write up about the game.

Edit: 8th grade varsity highlights HUDL

Doesn't Thompson have like three 5 stars on their team?

Not knocking what this kid did but I thought I remembered reading they were one of the more loaded teams in the country.

I always heard that Thompson high produced nothing but Football Players and hookers, 100%, which leads me to ask you about your wife...what position did she play?

I don’t believe that kid is 13. Looks like he’s old for an 8th grader and was possibly held back too. He looks really good but he’s too physically mature in the way he moves and carries himself to be younger than 14-15 IMO

From what I've read, they have overtaken Hoover in recent years. Honestly don't follow much Alabama HS football, but I think they have won state the last few years.

Yes, they’re the best program in Alabama by a wide margin right now. I believe they are getting kids from a number of places to move there to play much like Hoover, Southlake Carroll, Mater Dei, De La Salle (CA) etc.

I just read about this. It's pretty wild. He drops back and looks like a little kid and then unloads the ball.

I live in Alabaster and watch or attend all of Thompson’s games.

He’s 14 and a cousin of Tua. His maturity is beyond his years.

During the trophy presentation he was awarded the mvp. He immediately turned back toward his team and handed his mvp trophy to his senior WR Williams who caught four of his td passes in the night.

Just an unreal performance to capture their fourth straight 7A state title.

Help me out here, baws... Since when does an 8th grader who's not actually in HS qualify to play football in the state's highest - 7A - classification?
A dollar says there's a Charger in his parents driveway and he was the only 8th grader to drive his date (a JR or SR cheerleader) to the Jr High Homecoming dance.

'Academic redshirt' or 'age redshirt' bc he started school early is what they try to call it these days.

Good bud in CHAR/Summerville SC says they see it all the time in their area, both boys and girls, and it yeilds some freak athletes that are still in middle school.

With that said I'm not trying to detract away from this young man's accomplishments. He can certainly spin it with authority.

In Alabama you’re allowed varsity letter for five years.

Every highlight is him three step drop fling it down the sideline to a Five star Wr whose just faster than everyone else.

It’s hard to tell. I hear he’s 14. He definitely looks good. Does he ever have to read progression?

Very understandable that a family would want to leave the beaches of Hawaii for those Alabama hills. Who wouldn't?

Yeah, great job speaking out of your arse. Thompson doesn’t even have a 2023 or 2024 WR rated as a 3-star.

Thompson is absolutely the new Hoover, an REC school that recruits players all over the county, gets parents jobs, kids cars etc to prepare them for the college career at BAma. The REC just put a bunch of high schools together into a super school with a college like budget. They Auburn, Opelika and a few others are closer to small colleges than high school. They all have 3 times as many people in their bands as we had in out whole school. I am sure this kid has a bama bagman assigned to him and an agent. Unless Saban leaves don’t waste the ink
