Zero surprise, the only surprise is that they lost two games somehow

Two of their three losses came to Buford (GA) and Lipscomb Academy (Nashville) with the third loss coming to Hoover in the regular season.

Injuries and inconsistencies on a one dimensional offense forced the changes at QB. Thompson really hit their stride rolling into the playoffs.

Even more insane that he was one of the top middle-school quarterbacks in Colorado before magically relocating to the exact same high school as Tua’s family, and one where the head coach and the REC are trying to set up a crimson pipeline. Is this what high schools are supposed to be? Farm clubs for college teams? AL.com Thompson to Tuscaloosa
The receiver that caught all those passes grew up in Hoover. Thompson recruits locally and nationally and uses AHSAA “bona fide” moves as the equivalent of the college transfer portal. And they’re not the only ones. It’s rampant in Alabama: Saraland Recruiting
Saraland will win the 6A title tomorrow over Mountain Brook.

I was about to post that and agree with you 100 percent, the creation of these super schools probably cost my son a soccer championship because of all the reclassification. It’s total bullshite but you know they are going to counter saying Auburn has Auburn High and Opelscka (sp)

Alabama high sports are a joke with the penalty’s they hit private schools with when they don’t recruit near that level.

I am going to defend Saraland a little bit though as they didn’t start that shite but reacted to all the bullshite pulled by Spanish Fort, any kid kicked out of St Paul’s, McGill, Faith or UMS that was a good player would be at Spanish Fort the next day. They actually bailed out a kid that got 20 years from jail to play St Paul’s in playoffs one year, covered up rapes by players etc. At one time they had 5 or 6 players on coastal football allstar team and none of them actually lived in Spanish Fort. They are the Hoover of South Alabama. They raised the stink about that kid at saraland which is definitely true but it’s way beyond pot calling cattle black. I think one of the kids from Thompson, actually transferred to Spanish Fort a few years ago. burkholder

So yeah they did it, but only after seeing Spanish Fort get away with it for ten years.
In Alabama high school sports all teams are equal but some teams Hoover, Thompson, UMS Wright, Spanish Fort, etc are more equal than others. (UMS actually has had more students than St Paul’s forever but they always report one student below the classification they want as they know the day students are counted for classification in advance. per UMS alum and teacher.)

Oh, don’t get me started on Spanish Fort. That’s where Thompson got their coach! They are absolutely innovators and not imitators. But it’s funny to watch the circular firing squad. Hoover has done this for decades but is getting salty that Thompson is doing it better than they ever did. I just hope LSU is paying attention and doing the same thing at U-High or somewhere. At the end of the day, you cannot stop parents from moving somewhere that has better opportunities for their kids, whether in sports or academics or whatever. So if you can’t beat them, you better join them!

Yeah, great job speaking out of your arse. Thompson doesn’t even have a 2023 or 2024 WR rated as a 3-star.

Slow your roll hard arse.

Yeah guys a sophomore and doesn’t have a rating. He also just caught 4 tds in the title game of the highest class in AL. Suffice to say he will get a high rating soon?

Jesus bro. The internet has ruined people and rational discourse.

My question remains unanswered. Does he do anything except throw it up on a go route with a three step drop?

Bro. I’m not dissing the kid. He looks the part. I’m just asking. I’m sure the Bama money handlers didn’t move him to this school from CO for no reason.

John Curtis has won 26 state titles and I couldn’t name one of the qbs on any of the teams. It’s not a crazy question to ask is it him or the situation.

Yet you go on to mention he just throws it up to five star receivers in every highlight. That’s just simply not true.

Thompson’s starter at the beginning of the year is a three star rated quarterback but he was unseated partly due to injury and inconsistencies across the first half of the season. The offense was porous and nearly one dimensional.

So yes, as someone who watches the games I’d say your lackluster analysis of “three step drop throw it up to five star receivers” is highly inaccurate.

ETA: the highlights in the OP literally show passes outside of “go routes”.

How bout those 10 yard outs where he’s throwing from the opposite hash before his receivers even turn for the ball while getting out of their breaks?

He’s making throws to spaces that some LSU fans would clamor Jayden Daniels refused to throw as a three year starter in D1 football.

Only thing that rivals this shite is IMG in Florida. You are right Saraland is killing Mountainbrook. Theodore is probably second best team in the 6A this year
