5A Coaches' All State
I found this one from December:
The list that omitted anyone from North of Lafayette is the Coaches All State.

D'haquille Williams,Is he a rising sr. or rising jr.?I've heard both and he is listed as a 2012 recruit on Rivals.

Jordan Allen was a Parade All American, but these douchebags chose 8 other linemen over him for All State. No way to defend that other than bias.
Has the best team in the state ever been shut out of having a rep on the A/S team before? I'd guess not. Anyway, having seen WM play they should have had 4 or 5 guys on that team, including JA.

I know but I thought that list was more accurate. If you look the question really becomes who voted. This is high school not college or the NFL. So it is not like this games are on TV. A lot of Catholic league kids are on there (and I don't want to turn this into a private/public school debate),but if some coaches didn't turn in ballots, didn't get asked to vote or whatever the case may be. It looks like the Catholic league voted and you can't blame them because that's the same thing that happens in college with the SEC, Pac10, etc. The other coaches vote for the kids they know well in the league. It is just human nature. I don't know if that is what happened but that is my educated guess.

There are nine districts (statewide) in 5A football. Eight of them are from the southern half of the state. It's where the greater portion of the population lives. I'd guess at least half of the population lives in the N.O. Metro area and BR Metro area.
District breakdowns, as per The Advocate:
Here are the basic districts approved for 2009-10 and 2010-11 by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s executive committee last week.
CLASS 5A*
District 1
Airline, C.E. Byrd, Captain Shreve, Southwood
District 2
Natchitoches Central, Ouachita, Pineville, West Monroe
District 3
Acadiana, Barbe, Lafayette, LaGrange, Sulphur
District 4
Carencro, Comeaux, New Iberia, St. Thomas More, Westgate
District 5
Baton Rouge (CNF), Catholic-BR, Central, Denham Springs, Live Oak, Scotlandville, St. Josephs Academy (AG), Walker, Zachary
District 6
Destrehan, Dutchtown, East Ascension, East St. John, Hahnville, St. Amant
District 7
Covington, Fontainebleau, Hammond, Mandeville, Northshore, Ponchatoula, Slidell, St. Paul’s, St. Scholastica (AG)
District 8
Assumption, H.L. Bourgeois, Central Lafourche, South Lafourche, South Terrebonne, Terrebonne, Thibodeaux
District 9
Bonnabel, Chalmette, John Ehret, L.W. Higgins, Grace King, West Jefferson
District 10
Academy Of Our Lady (AG), Archbishop Chapelle (AG), Archbishop Rummel, Archbishop Shaw, Brother Martin, Dominican (AG), Jesuit, Mt. Carmel (AG), St. Augustine

The coaches are a disgrace for this team.
The coaches selecting the all-state team did in fact select the best players nominated. Unfortunately for the players from District 1 no coach from the district showed up to nominate their players.
I was a voting coach. I was certainly ready to vote for several WM players.
However, none were nominated. I am sure it was an oversight by the district representative.

Southwest LA seems to have an abundance of names. Anyone know whether Coaches have a grudge against Don Shows?

Not a single player from North of Lafayette. WOW...Apparently there are 8 defensive linemen better than Jordan Allen.
WM doesnt lose the 5A title for the next 3 years, so theres your consolation prize.

Well, putting WM's two-deep wouldn't be very fair, so I guess they had to make an incorrect list? *shot*

Im different from other WM fans in that I think WM actually loses one or two games next year.
Thier offensive line is going to be about 10% as good as it was this year. And they lost alot of seniors on defense.
The defense will still be good but offensively they will struggle. Even with Turner and Cain.

Rummel was half of an Amazing team. The Defense was amazing, and the offense was not. Those kid deserve to be on the team, and that isn't nocking Wm they are the champs and yeah a lot of the kids got robbed
