It’s a shame he doesn’t want to be at LSU

Isnt he the kid who left STM because he was behind Howard? And isnt that pretty much why he isnt coming to LSU?

Yes this is exactly the reason, but nobody want to believe the truth.

Louisiana putting out QB's and they're all going out of state..

Well Walker Howard didn't.

But maybe BK will reverse that trend?

What I meant was that they're all coming out at the same time

I've got a feeling that they will try to pull nationally first. Maybe Clean or someone else could say if they're are some youngsters coming up in the next 2-4 years in LA.

Clean is a fantastic resource for this board. Man keeps his ear to the ground like few others locally.

Isn’t this the kid that moved high schools because he didn’t want to compete with Walker Howard? If he doesn’t win a job right off he will transfer and I’ll take Walker over him anyway.

I’m amazed people can’t comprehend that he is one year younger than Walker, and that he could obviously see Walker was very elite. Because he was elite, he chose to play at a place where he could develop.
Everyone acting like he’s scared of competition is dumb. High schoolers make business decisions also.

Ok. All I know is that he hasn’t shown he has heart. I want players that have heart and fire. He doesn’t. I guess we will see who is right.

This board is a bunch of bitter bitches. Howard is better, sure, but they act like they don't want Eli too.

Dude is good. Very good. Would love to have him as an insurance option behind Howard and potentially taking the job when he's done.

I hope we land Dante Moore. I like him. Seems to not care about pressure in the pocket and still makes the throws. He has intangibles that just can't be coached you either have it or you don't.

the ridicule and slander on Holstein is funny and really puzzling to me.

You guys are saying that he won't consider LSU bc he's afraid of Howard but he committed to A&M while there was a 5 star committed in the class ahead of him in Weigman, a Howard peer. Then he backs off of that commitment and is likely headed to Bama where 5 star and fellow WH peer Ty Simpson would also be ahead of him. The competition argument holds little to no water.

So they said he was scared of Howard while at STM, so instead of sitting behind Howard, he goes to Zachary and is from all accounts a complete beast there and wins a state title.

He undoubtedly made the right decision.

The heart/fire bs makes no sense.

Walker Howard or Eli Holstein?

Figures doesn’t it? Louisiana couldn’t develop a QB for years and years and suddenly we get all these potentially great ones all at the same time. Can’t all go to LSU, but we got a good one in Howard.

Nobody said he was scared of Howard. That is plain stupid. I said he doesn’t want to compete and choose the path of least resistance. I think you don’t understand the difference between heart and talent. Eli is very talented but imo lacks heart from what he has shown. Heart ranges from Joe Burrow on one extreme to Ben Simmons on the other. Both are very talented but one not only will win at all cost but can will his team to win. I’m not saying Eli is Ben when it comes to heart but if you look centerline between Ben and Joe he is more to that side of centerline. How far that side, I don’t know. If he came to lsu I would be happy based on talent but he isn’t coming. As discussed he left STM and decommited from aTm for that reason. He also went to Zachary. A dominate high school in LHSAA with talent around him. Part of the path of least resistance. If he went to say central of Baton Rouge and did that with zero o line then call me impressed. Football Life has been easy on Eli and I’m worried what he can do when the shite hits the fan.

Walker on the other hand sat behind Caleb, Eli’s older brother until it was time to play. Eli didn’t show the same ability to face competition and learn.

I have to see it to believe it that he goes to Alabama but if he does my money is on him transferring at some point. Hell any school he goes to I think he transfers. If Eli did come to lsu I think it will end up being a wasted scholarship when he transfers out. Didn’t Caleb just leave La Tech? Might be a family thing. Maybe they should try punting.
