I don't think being 9 months old when you leave Louisiana means you have meaningful ties to Louisiana.

As someone born in Arkansas to Louisiana parents

It dont matter. Louisiana runs deep in you no matter how long you lived there (or even if you never lived there). You still grow up in the culture and visiting all the time.

He was born in NOLA. His family has ties to NOLA. He has family in NOLA. So he has strong Louisiana ties.

I also doesn't mean you don't have meaningful ties. I have family tat were born and lived there whole lives outside of louisiana that still have meaningful ties here.

If Kelly pulls this off, I think it says alot about how he is viewed by recruits and the future of the program.

Miles and CEO always seem to miss some guys that they should've had, and I think it had to do with the quirkness and the uncertainty recruits had in their coaching ability.

If Kelly reels in perkins, Matthews, and citizen, and on a transition year, I think that says a lot about how recruits perceive Kelly in a positive light unlike the previous regimes. Bodes well for the future.
