Clemson247 and 247Sports polled various prospects for their predictions and opinions on the outcome of the National Championship between Clemson and LSU.

Kind of funny that a lot of the recruits are afraid to predict who will win. They are being recruited by both teams and don't want to piss off the fans or programs.

Something else I found interesting. Caleb Williams posts or retweets a lot of LSU stuff on his twitter account.

Derek must have a cut with Rivals or a bone to pick with 247 here

Oh the horror

Some of these guys are making predictions favoring the school they are committed too.
It would be awkward for a Clemson commit to say LSU wins and vice versa.

I hope you get carried away by the Secret Service while trying to enter the game Monday and they throw you in the river naked.

Don't like or dislike either. This is the first time I have ever seen 24/7 do this. I have seen a bunch and even posted a few of Rivals' prediction articles in the past.

Well considering the LSU 247 site was up 186% in revenue for December year over year, if I were Rivals I'd be more worried about what subscribers 247 is stealing and less about what ideas they're stealing. Maybe start with that.

Do you hate Caleb Williams or is it one of the other recruits?

Very strange reaction to a post about HS players LSU is recruiting and/or their predictions for THE game.

247 has been having this as has every journalist throughout history. It is a common question. No one cried when Rivals added a crystal ball feature. We just want content and don't care where it comes from.

Sounds like the picks are Clemson heavy...hoping a win can change the mindset of the kids for next year.

Email Jimmy. I don't give a crap if both fold up and go away. I followed recruiting long before either existed. Hell, I remember the day Harvey Williams spurned the Aggies.

From the article and post:
"Clemson247 and 247Sports polled various prospects"

I'm not sure but Clemson probably doesn't come to La, TX or Miss a whole lot to recruit. These are probably mostly East Coast including Georgia.

Lol a lot of recruits have bought the Dabo koolaid. Pretty interesting study into where kinds of current recruits. There’s apparently a wide thought process that Clemson is unbeatable.

247 has been doing “Recruits Reactions” for years following a game. With the long layoff I imagine they decided to do a prediction piece.....I wouldnt call it a “ripoff”

You gotta give Daboo credit. That dude would be very successful as a salesman, preacher or any other profession where great BS goes a long way.

Not that this hurts a whole lot either.

Gee how does that happen? @NCAA

Being that it’s the only CFB game for about 2 weeks, during a dead period, I don’t think Rivals gets exclusive rights to ask kids what they think about the championship game

Good deal.

This is probably the lamest one I have seen.

The ones I have seen on Rivals usually includes committed guys or players who know where they are going.

I remember everyone on this board talking about the SEC championship game - Van Pran was not coming to LSU because he picked Georgia and I think people were bummed because I think Burch may have picked UGA also - not sure about Burch.

But Rivals may have one or two guys that you can tell don't want to make a prediction. This one seemed like there was a lot more squirming and much less predicting.

Seems like the Clemson commits were the only ones who made predictions and maybe a couple others. And they may not have LSU offers or are just not considering LSU.

RIVALS STINKS. Also 247 has had these prediction things throughout the year for various games so is it really stealing?

I was going to put "24/7 may be ripping off" in the subject but there was not enough room. I am not a member of either site, but have seen the prediction articles multiple times on Rivals and when there is a thread on this board it has always been from Rivals.

I was a long time member of Rivals when Mike S was there. Still feel embarrassed about it. It can't be nearly as bad now with Jimmy and his guys, even though he lost Sam Spiegelman who I thought was exceptional when he was with SEC Country.
