For all you wondering about DL, 2026 seems to be a good year for in-state IDL

LINK

It’s behind a paywall. Here’s a summary :
“2026 Monroe (La.) Ouachita Parish defensive lineman Dylan Berymon showed his explosiveness and technique at the Under Armour Dallas event last weekend. The 6-3, 275-pound prospect is seeing his recruitment take off.”
Not ranked yet, but as he’s 2026, he definitely will be as he gets exposure

Love that 2026 seems to be loaded with DL in the state.

The worst part about it is it isnt 2025

Yeah, that’s the only downside. This year it’s out of state or bust

Heard Ouachita picked up ATH Montrell Conner from St. Frederick. His dad was a four-star RB who played for Miss. St.

Heard the two Downs multi-sport stars from Sterlington transferred to Bastrop High. One of them is committed to LSU.

Sterlington went to the state championship in baseball. From what I read on a message board, Bastrop didn't play enough games to qualify for the playoffs. A poster on Louisiana Sportsline said the LSU commit will focus strictly on travel ball.

Wonder if they are kin to former LSU DT Josh Downs from Bastrop?

Highlights from article

LSU extended an offer earlier this year and he’s excited about the Tigers following a visit to Baton Rouge

“Shoot, I was happy,” Berymon said. “I loved it. The visit was nice and all. I liked the coaches. I got to see a lot of things that answered my questions. The people and all.”

LSU defensive line coach Bo Davis offered him and it left the sophomore a bit speechless after receiving the news.

“I can’t remember, but when he offered me on the phone, I sat there and didn’t think it was true, for real,” he said. “Then I thought about it and I was just happy. I never knew I was going to get this.”

Being from Louisiana, once he was able to process the offer, he sees LSU as the team to beat being an in-state target for the Tigers.

“It means a lot. I never knew I was going to get an offer from LSU this early,” Berymon said. “They’re No. 1.”

For the poster who said LSU can do better

How can you do better than a talented DL from Louisiana that wants to be at LSU and represent his state

These are exactly the type player we need at LSU

I had a chance to see this kid play against Ruston last week. He was unbelievable. He gave Ruston fits all night long. He played both inside and outside along the DL. He looked great at both spots. I figured he would get tired by the end of the game. He was still going strong in the fourth quarter. He is going to be a really good player of he continues to improve the next year and a half. They even ran a fake punt with him.

They forced Ruston to beat them through that air. It almost worked. Ruston escaped with a 22-21 win.

He was one of the protectors. Direct snap to him and he ran something similar to a dive play. Picked up a few yards. Just not enough for the 1st down.

Whoever said he was lazy, he wasn’t lazy last Friday Night.
