Absolutely fricking amazing LSU can’t pull a 5 star QB with the season they just had while they line up to go to UGA, Clemson, and Bama.

If Brady were still here Williams was all ours, no matter what anyone else thought.

Now it is a wait and see what our offense looks like at this point. After spring when reports are we are still slinging it around something will break, I hope!

lol, this is not why UGA is killing it in recruiting. They did well right after Kirby's mediocre first year. I'll leave it a$ an exerci$e a$ to why UGA i$ killing it $ince Kirby arrived. He learned from the be$t.

Athens also might be the coolest college town in America. It is probably a combination of the two.

Why does it work like that for LSU, but not other schools?

Coley was the primary recruiter for Vandagriff at Georgia. He leaves and suddenly Vandagriff commits to them. Jeff Scott was recruiting DJ to Clemson, then he leaves yet it doesn't affect DJ at all.

It's frustrating watching Bama, Clemson, Georgia land these types of QBs every year regardless of coaching changes and on the field results.

Tired: how does Georgia keep getting these guys in an archaic offense but we couldn’t

Wired: we are gonna get a 5 star

I pretty sure OU has always been LSU's main competition for Caleb, not UGA.

His elite dual threat skills fit perfectly in Riley's system, and the Vandagriff-OU decommit (& commit to UGA) only makes this race tighter.

He got one to Oklahoma today from an OSU guy. He got another one earlier today from a national guy, but it's not for Oklahoma.

Edit: my guess is these 247 guys had picks in for Georgia and are just changing them since UGA got Vandagriff.

The title wasn’t going to have a huge impact on this QB class. That’s just not how it works. The big QB commits usually commit early, like you just saw with UGA, and no one expected the offensive leap we took before the season.

Winning it all and showing commitment to a modern spread offense will help us going forward, but all eyes are on how we replace Brady and how the offense looks in the Spring. If a guy like Williams feels comfortable we are still on the right path, then we’re good and will be in position to get our best QB commit in a long time.

They will be a tough sell with Spencer Rattler stepping in this year for what should be at least two seasons.
